I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Beyonce

The always-lovely Beyonce sat down with David Letterman Wednesday night and talked to him about the inauguration, twitter and her bruises.

Letterman asked about singing "At Last" for the Obama's first dance at the Neighborhood Ball, and Beyonce told him, "It was, I think, the best moment of my career. I was so nervous, and so honored to be there... I've never watched one of my performances so many times."

She also talked about husband Jay-Z changing lyrics to "99 Problems and a Bitch Ain't One" to "99 Problems and a Bush Ain't One" for a performance in front of Obama campaign volunteers.

Later she talks about not twittering ("I pick up the phone") and how her tour harness gives her bruises.

Without the assistance of her usual technological savior, ProTools, she sang "At Last" ALMOST on key. So, yes, it was the best performance of her career.

And later, to close Letterman's show, she lip-synched a song.
Classy.

Ten years from now, the only time her name will appear in the press is when some enterprising writer does a "What Ever Happened To..." piece.

I caught an interview with Beyonce earlier today, and she is so arrogant! I always thought she was all packaging and marketing, with no talent to back it, but now I really can't stand her.

I used to love B when she was the lead in Destiny's child, but it seems the music has lost a step since then. She is a beautiful girl that we see far too much of...

The only thing she has going for her is her astonishing looks.
Without technical assistance, she's has only an average voice.

That hair is a mess!!! She also needs to lay off the bleach blond look. Ugh!!! I'm annoyed by this girl.

I'll admit I'm not up on a great deal of the new entertainers or stars but one thing seems for sure: Ms. Knowles looks very healthy and fit and I think that sends a fantastic message to young girls and women. She actually has a woman's body and isn't a stick figure. Where was that when Twiggy and her look alikes came along and ruined my young life? LOL I think Ms. Knowles is a great role model. Clearly she was born blessed but she takes good care of herself, eats right and keeps fit. Good for her, I say!

Michelle Obama thanked Beyonce for being a good role model for her own girls, I thought that was nice.

i dont believe a woman as educated and classy as Mrs. Obama would think of someone who popped her coochie and does rump shaking for a living, a role model for her daughters. shes knows thats just NOT true. www.Shop-Luscious.com

First off,I'm glad Beyonce is doing well and making $$$$
She obviously works hard, and probably deserves her success.

I'm not dissing her hair,voice, looks,acting chops(or lack thereof);
I' m not jealous of any of it, I just don't care that much.
I just feel that she's overexposed as hell, and I'm sick
of seeing her EVERYWHERE!

Just like Madonna, Cher,Britney and Lyndsey in their heyday.

Does/did the media HAVE to constantly shove them in our faces????
I guess I'll just have to wait for HER star to fade, like the aforementioned ladies.
I certain don't mourn THEIR absence from the ravenous media machine.

okay, i'm gonna preface this with i hate her mother's fashion line. but....

that's the only thing negative i can think of for her. i may not dig her music or her style, but she's clearly a hard worker. i feel so bad that people hate on her so much.

I guess too many people just can't handle seeing a pretty black woman.

The venom that comes out when gorgeous black women (who are not only beautiful but also smart) are the topic of discussion is incredible and so typical. It must be sad to be that afraid and jealous.

No that is not true. I do not gaga when I see Kerry Washington, Paula Patton, Halle Berry, Saana, Kimberly Elise, Kelly Rowland, Solange, the Williams sisters, Jeniffer Hudson, Alfre Wooddard, Oprah, Dr Angelou (the list is endless). Why? They r strong, beautiful and intelligent women! Just because you enjoy shalow dont mean we all have to. Real talk

She is so pretty she doesn't need all the accessories. What the hell is she going to do when she is 60.

I agree wholeheartedly. If she had looked like Sudan Boyle, nobody would have ever heard of her.

What?!? Okay, she may be a hardworker/opportunist, but I do believe she has the strong vocals/moves/looks to back it all up! Try comparing her to the Britney Spears of the world, who makes millions off of audio-tuned tracks and lip-synching concert performances.

She has a distinct voice with a wide range that is very fluid.

I'd like to know what your standard of "can sing" is.

Is it me or does she look like she's taking her make up cues from a drag queen or worse yet, the First Lady of Cameroon.

...wow, yet another "best" moment of her life/career/existence/whatver...

...could someone please define the word "best" to this over-exposed, talentless woman, and then take her far, far, far away to some unknown island?...

.

I'm right there with you. She's stolen everyone's moves and looks from Janet to Shakira. She may be a nice person, but I'm sorry, her music is not all that. It is too mimickry from everyone else. I want to see and hear HER sing not scream. And I definitely don't want her to do Janet's moves. I want to see her do HER moves. No originality.

By the way, thank you for ruining Etta James' song "At Last" by butchering it.
