Israel Probe Finds No War Crimes Committed In Gaza

The IDF operated in the Gaza Strip in accordance with international law and succeeded in maintaining a high level of professionalism and morals even though it fought against an enemy that cynically uses civilians as human shields, Deputy Chief of General Staff Maj.-Gen. Dan Harel said Wednesday as the IDF publicized findings from five different probes into accusations that were raised during January's Operation Cast Lead.

Halellujah! Israel cleared Israel of crimes committed by Israel one more time! Woo hoo! Let's go celebrate and if I need a second opinion, I know what to do: ask Israel and they will tell me again, how moral and great and wonderful they are!

Really! How much longer does Israel think it can get away with this kinda self-righteous behavior? One day...one day...Israel may just get a taste of its own medicine and I reckon, it will not be pretty even if it is 100% self-inflicted and well-deserved.

I' m very sure that the US Congress (near 100%) members who voted their overwhelming support for the Israeli atrocities in Gaza must be feeling very, very relieved to hear the IDF has cleared itself of all charges! Pelosi, Reid, Feinstein, Lieberman et al will be able to sleep soundly tonight. I wonder if one or two of the less besotted individuals didn't start to have a few, tiny qualms of conscience as the IDF ravaged how many Palestinian families in their own homes? How many family businesses? Agricultural lands, even farm animals? Not war crimes? Likewise, the EU. All those Europeans who walked out of yesterday's UN conference were offended by Mr. A's criticism of Israel, but seemingly comfortable with the IDF's war making & siege? What hypocrisy!

Dear IDF,

Given that the crimes under consideration were viewed world wide on assorted news channels I believe you need to award a new medal to Deputy Chief of General Staff Maj.-Gen. Dan Harel and his investigators. It is called the Chutzpah Award For Valor in the Face of the Truth.

Please note that those honored by this award are eligible to serve on the war crimes investigating committees for the Bush administration as we here in America are in desperate need of people with such creative skills in denying the perfectly obvious. Otherwise we may end up with a Vice President in jail and that would kind of look bad.
