Cheney Is Ranking Republican Speaking Out Against Obama

WASHINGTON -- On the mornings he is in town, Dick Cheney wakes up at 6, climbs into his black sport utility vehicle and drives himself to a Starbucks near his McLean, Va., home. He returns with a pair of grande skim lattes -- decaf for him, regular for his wife, Lynne -- and settles into work in the sun-drenched office above his garage, penning his memoir in longhand on yellow legal pads.

It is the kind of scene that Americans have come to expect from their elder statesmen: a quiet, unassuming return to private life after giving up power. Except, that is, for the quiet and unassuming part.

Cheney is so green with envy he can't focus on his own aging flesh. He always has that J. Edgar Hoover evil smirk on his face. boooooo Dick Cheney you have nerve to critique the Obama administration. So, he's all too happy and eager to jump on somebody's TV show to give his opinion on world affairs. He just needs something constructive to do with his time and with his mouth.

Critizing the new Administration should be the farthest thing on his mind. But he simply cannot help himself because he was VP, and just cannot give up the idea that he no longer is VP. This article says HE PICKS UP HIS MORNING COFFEE, and returns home to write his memoirs, which is good. But he should stop with the interviews, and trying to slam the present Administration. He's had his chance, and didn't do so good when he had it.

That's why Cheney is out there defending HIS torture policy. Bush is trying to hide, Cheney is out there daring Congress to investigate him.

The man has no shame! His M O during 2001-2009 was to stay in the background while pushing his harmful and nefarious schemes. Apparently, (D)ick is very persuasive with those who don't probe too deeply into what he tries to "accomplish". Anyone interested in what went on behind the scenes should read "Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency" by Barton Gellman.

Cheney counts on political backlash from the GOP (should he and others be investigated) to provide plenty of cover for him from prosecution. My own senator, Kit Bond, seemed to threaten that the Republican party would scrutinize every "policy" decision of the Obama administration when the Republicans regain the majority. What Bond refuses to acknowledge is that these were not POLICY problems but obvious LAWBREAKING! Thankfully, Bond has decided to retire from the Senate in 2010 but will probably make hefty contributions to the Republican cause.
