What's Your Reaction?

MSNBC's newest host Ed Schultz isn't afraid to lob fastballs at Dick Cheney, especially now that the former veeps's new-found career appears to be attacking the Obama administration.

Schultz took it to another level on Tuesday night when he looked straight into the camera and declared that Dick Cheney is "mean" enough to wish a new attack on the US for "political gain." Schultz says this about two minutes and fifty-nine seconds into the interview. Watch it below:

"I think that Dick Cheney wants this country to get hit again for political gain. I believe that he thinks, in his mind, that if we can think, make them think - the enemy - that if we're weak, because Obama can't stand up for us, we're gonna get hit. And then of course we can paint the picture that the Democrats just can't get the job done on national security. I think Cheney is that mean."

Mr. Schultz, you don't have to worry about President Obama when it comes to Mr. Cheney, you see these are people who are sore loosers, they have to keep mess going, they know nothing else to do. Have you've notice that Mr. Bush refuses to speak about President Obama negatively, if anyone I thought would be saying something against the president it would have been President bush. One thing Mr. Cheney, you have to remember you don't speak for all america, and not even for some of your own party. Listen Up, we remember the last 8yrs, we are confident we voted for the right person for president, we are wishing him success and we are confident it will happen. Remember he inheirted this mess, lets not forget what administration left it. It is what it is.

Cheney is now writing a book! This should be interesting! I wonder what its about. Orange hair and big shoes, lots of arm waving and "brave" talk?

I'm sure its going to be a laugh a minute. DicK, the dodger, will be as clueless after as he has been all along.

Ed Rocks! A clear voice, no holding him back. I wouldn't mind seeing him played at night also, sometimes I can't see him at 5 p.m. (central) because of work issues.

It is about time that someone said something like this. After all, the Bush administration really did not care that 3000 Americans were killed on 9/11. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and their various acolytes and cheerleaders, like William Kristol, were positively thrilled that, as a result, they could pursue the whole neo-conservative project (the Project for a New American Century positively hoped for a second "Pearl Harbor."). The people who died on 9/11 -- like all of the Americans who have died since then in Afghanistan and Iraq -- were simply symbols to the Bushies, by which they could score political points and pursue their political agenda both foreign and domestic.

Duh? Tell me something I don't know, like who paid for the Cheney death squad? Oh wait -- I know the answer. The taxpayer did. We pay for everything, sometimes double. Cheney cooked the books at Haliburton, lines his pockets with oil profits, lies all of the time, and rewrites history so is it any surprise that he -- and Limbaugh -- look forward to disaster. His audacity is blinding. He saw the August 2001 memorandum and did not take steps to defend the nation.

I cannot believe that I used to have some respect for Cheney.

I couldn't agree more. Cheney has been saying that we kept America safe because of our policies. On his show DL Hughley compared that to someone saying this building is okay because I am in the building. I like a little part of him is hoping for that to save his legacy. There are more positive things that he could be doing if he really felt this was the case.

I really wish he would go away though. I don't think I ever head him speak while he was VP but now he has an interview on TV every night.

I think that Ed Schultz is absolutely right--think back to August of 2001 when the Bush. . .er, Cheney administration ignored the "Bin Laden determined to attack the U.S." memo. They WANTED to go into Iraq and knew that support for this enterprise wouldn't be very high unless something drastic happened. Well, 9/11 happened, and we know what occurred in the years subsequent to that horror. Cheney, without a doubt, is the WORST person ever to occupy the office of the Vice President, and when you're worse than such sterling characters as Aaron Burr, Spiro Agnew, and Dan Quayle that's saying something.

The Ed show is terrific, and I agree that MSNBC should run re-broadcasts like they do with their other shows!

Note to MSNBC. Re-air the Ed Show again at night. So some of us that can't catch his show in the afternoon (west coast) can catch his show at night. I've caught his show once and it was pretty good.

Where are his defenders, besides his daughter? Where's GWB, Rumsfeld, DeLay, Rove, Libby, Armitage, Limbaugh, any of them? I guess he's on his own.

With friends like him, no wonder our economy when down the drain, we started two wars, we got $4 gas, deregulation galore, torture, outsourcing jobs to China, etc. He is no friend of America. He has no credibility.

I wish Cheney would do us all a favor by zipping his lip and returning to his undisclosed location.
