Intelligent Robo-Penguins Take To Seas, Skies (VIDEO)

I like penguins and I like robots.

So imagine my delight when I discovered this NewScientist story -- and video -- about bionic penguins.

Using their flippers, the mechanical penguins can paddle through water just like real ones, while larger helium-filled designs can "swim" through the air. The penguins are on show at the Hannover Messe Trade Exhibition in Germany.

And there's all kinds of other stuff going on -- like the robots communicate with one another.
