I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Meghan McCain, serving as a co-host of "The View" today, wasted little time before getting in a shot at former Vice President Dick Cheney and Karl Rove. McCain, who had previously written about how she found Karl Rove following her on Twitter "creepy," complained that Cheney and Rove are still trying to be seen as the face of the Republican Party. Last week McCain observed that the GOP leadership is "scared shitless" of the changing political landscape.

McCain mentioned disapprovingly Cheney's repeated public criticisms of Obama--which he voiced again on Fox News this week--and referred to the DNC ad released this week portraying Cheney, Rove and Gingrich as the 'new face of the GOP.' She pointed out that it's "very unprecedented for someone like Karl Rove or Dick Cheney to be criticizing the President." Her advice to them: "Go away."

Why does it bother you, Republicans need a voice too.

Our country needs a two party system, we cannot let the GOP disapear, for the sake of Americ we should encourage these young republicans to reform their party so it can survive the next elections.

Maybe Meghan McCain should step forward as the GOP's new leadership. At least she has a clue! And she's honest, which earns her the respect that the stalled conservative movement desperately needs.

I don't care what she thinks. Apparently no one else does either.

Well why would we?

Were all Democrats here, but really the GOP must regain some footing, America cannot function in a single party system.

It would take decades for another party to form and be competitive in elections, we got to save the GOP and she might be the ticket

See, this is why I consider us Democrats to be superior. The Republicans were seriously planning to create a one-party system (excuse me, I guess the term was "Permanent Majority" - big difference, right?). In contrast, as soon as we gain the overwhelming predominance that the Rethugs in fact never had, and what are we talking about? Eviscerating them to gain a permanent majority? No, hoping that they will reform themselves to a viable party for the good of the nation and our future. See the difference?

Meghan McCain concerns me a lot more than Sarah Palin. The young Ms. McCain could actually revive the Republican Party. Fortunately there are enough ditto-heads and right-wing single issue voters to block her path. Best case scenario, she jumps ship and joins the Democratic Party (or, as the Repubs like to say, "the Democrat Party.")

She won't do that. She lives on her parents' money and is trying to make a career about of being a failed candidate's daughter. Pretty sad.
