I Like ItI Don’t Like It

The first lady sure knows what she likes! When Michelle Obama spoke to children of executive branch employees on Thursday for "Take Your Children To Work Day" (where she revealed that new puppy Bo is "kind of crazy"), she fearlessly repeated not one, but two of her most controversial articles of clothing: a Junya Watanbe cardigan that was very similar to the one she wore in London on April 2nd andthe white bow shirt by Moschino that was first seen in Prague on April 5th. Huffington Post readers voted the bow their least favorite look of her trip to Europe and the Junya Watanbe cardigan was their second least favorite.

Good for her!! In these hard economic times it's great that she's reusing her wardrobe. She always looks terrific, and it's a credit to her to demonstrate practicality as well as good taste. I wonder how much mileage Palin is getting from her wardrobe?

Why, why, why are we so concerned abut what she's wearing? I'm sure picking out her clothing is the least important thing she does all day.

Yes, you're right, it's petty. But you gotta admit her choices are pretty out there sometimes!

I love the woman. She's a peach. I'm just not crazy about the clothes.
The president just exudes such calm and dignity and statesmanship. I kinda wish her clothes would match that image a bit more.
Still, I wouldn't trade her, even for Carla Bruni.

Do yo thang, Michelle!

I bought those kitten-heeled shoes she wears. They are SO comfy. Bandolino makes them.

I like the outfit, but the belt is too bulky. Maybe better inside the cartigan. Or do without the big belt. I actually like everything else. She looks beautiful!

Maybe you people haven't noticed but Michelle loves color and she has worned these colorful sweaters when meeting with kids. The kids love her and that's all that matters so you grown envious people can suck it.

Oh and her husband adores her and when he looks at her it's like no one else is in the room.

I think she's great. She could wear a burlap sack and look graceful and poised in it.

I like the fact that she wears clothes more than once. I had no quarrel with Laura Bush, well one maybe, but honestly I never noticed what she wore. She always looked nice, but she was always conservatively dressed. Some folks want the FLOTUS to dress neat and conservative, others want her to express her self as she wishes. However we feel and think, she is doing it her way. Hurray.

That cardigan Ms. Obama wore in London was one of my FAVORITES!! Get a freeking life, people! Ms. Obama looks great and has not accomplished all that she has in life by worrying about what other people think of her!!! She's an awesome First Lady, so MSM has to petty-pick on what she wears.

I'm so proud of to have a First Lady who thinks for herself, and also realizes how trival, petty, and down right sexist all this focus is on her wardrobe.

Mr. Obama campaigned successfully for the position of President of the United States. He is always well-dressed and looks very distinguished. However, it is my opinion that the First Lady is trying her hardest to NOT look like a First Lady. Departure from convention is good, and novelty is good to some degree. However, when there appears to be a deliberate effort to collect a wardrobe that throws all time tested standards to the wind, the results are what we see: a First Lady who looks more like an upcoming mid-level executive in a mid-sized corporate office rather than the First Lady of the United States. Her outfits are too colorful, too busy, and too distracting - with wide belts over sweaters, dark wide belts over bright dresses, teamed with pearls, and sweaters and jackets that look like Jacob's "coat of many colors"!

I am surprised that no one has advised her to change her wardrobe advisors.

Maybe you should submit your resume for the position.

I see where you're coming from, but being that she was meeting with kids, I thought the colors were a nice touch. I haven't followed her wardrobe at all; just going by these pictures, so I don't know if she's worn it on other occasions as well.

But notice how in the other photos, when she isn't meeting with kids, the dress is more appropriate--the blue/burgundy (maroon?) cardigan looked great. The bow was too much, though.

Micheel is obviously marching to the beat of her own drummer!
It is very refreshing to see her wear what she likes. FYI-the big bow blouse is huge this season!

Michele shows she's an independent woman and knows what she likes. She's has her own style instead of the clone suits everyone else wears.

Very proud of our First Lady, but not crazy about the belt. Especially over the sweater.

I have to say that while I'm not a big fan of either look, I love the fact that Mrs. O is giving a big f-- you to all her detractors by wearing them both again.
