Regis Philbin dressed up as Shrek for a surprise appearance on Letterman Tuesday night. He spent 2.5 hours in makeup to come out after the first guest Beyonce to promote "Regis and Kelly's" Broadway week.
Dave cut him off with a "who cares" a few words into his plug.
"Why bother," Philbin sighed before walking off, and it was over in two minutes.

The biggest shows on Broadway are Disney shows... Shrek, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King... sure they are "copycats" of the animated movies but they make money as tourists to NYC can bring their family to see a Broadway show.... may be silly shows but making money for Broadway shows.
Those who knock Regis are simply jealous!!! He holds the Guinness World Book of Records as the person who has been on Television the longest in the history of TV. He is awesome!
