Susan Boyle: Just Kidding About Not Being Kissed

Britian's YouTube singing star Susan Boyle is backtracking on her claims that she has never been kissed. Boyle, appearing on Simon Cowell's "Britain's Got Talent" 10 days ago, told cameras she lives alone with her cat Pebbles and has "never been married, never been kissed. Ooh shame!"

But now, she has told Terri Seymour, ex-girlfriend and close friend of Simon Cowell as well as an entertainment reporter, that she meant that "as a joke...I've got a wicked sense of humor."

Susan was last spotted in a dress in heels outside her home in Scotland on Tuesday and previously ducked a question about her dating life on US television.

( Los Angeles - April 22, 2009) - Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle has captured the hearts of millions, but did she really go 48 years without a kiss? She's coming clean only to "Extra's" Terri Seymour, admitting that she fibbed the truth about her romantic past. "It was meant as a joke...I've got a wicked sense of humor, you know!" she exclaimed.

The Scottish songbird has been making headlines since she amazed the world with her extraordinary voice, but what rumor has surprised her the most? Boyle tells Seymour, "The one where I'm willing to take my clothes off for a million dollars...Really crazy!"

Although passing on THAT offer, she reveals others saying, "The most exciting offer so far has been a trip to Hollywood to make a film...There is talk about it...It's only rumors right now." Boyle also tells Seymour that she might even appear on Oprah. "It's in the pipeline, but I don't want to get into it here." But don't expect to see her on Dancing with the Stars. She declares, "I've got two left feet so I don't know...[I] have to learn to dance first!"

Boyle sends Simon Cowell a personal message saying, "Thank you for giving me a chance, Mr Cowell and I'll do my best." She adds, "He's a good judge and a very honest person."

PLUS - No makeover for Boyle! She declares, "I wouldn't like to change anything. I'm perfect the way I am." Another person who agrees is rocker Jon Bon Jovi! At last night's Food Bank for New York City's Can-Do Awards dinner, he told "Extra" he hopes she wins the competition saying, "God bless her. After pursuing the dream and never giving up, good for her. I hope she knocks this one out of the park!" Boyle reaction to the kind words? She blushes and says, "I think he's fantastic!"

Susan Boyle is an angel sent down from heaven by our Dear Father. She has the power to make us all feel better about ourselves and bring us all together. I don't get all of the people who have hate in their hearts here. They just have Satan in their ears which doesn't allow them to hear Susan's melodious voice. Bless her. She is absolutely gorgeous. Mr. Dickerson, I don't know were your head was when you heard Susan sing (judging from your comments, though, I can guess), but I was in the other room; never set eyes on the woman and had not a clue what the venue was.

When I heard that remarkable voice from the next room, I dropped what I was doing and joined my wife in front of the computer screen, absolutely transfixed. True, I was amazed when I saw how dowdy she was, because I thought a voice like that could only have emanated from a polished performer with a crew of stylists. But believe me, sir... it was her voice, sight unseen, that first grabbed (and I do mean grabbed) my attention.

Then I went to Youtube to hear Elaine Paige for comparison... and there wasn't any. Vocally, Susan Boyle has it all over her role model. Too bad you didn't first hear her with your eyes closed.

I hate the mentality that if you're not "successful" in your early 20's, that you will never be successful.

Most women writers don't find their voice until they're in their forties, for example, because that's how old you apparently have to be, before you realize that you're not just a sexual object and it's OK for you to say something. Helen Hooven Santmeyer wrote her first novel when she was in her 80's and in a rest home.

The late blooming of women says more about our culture that disregards women and their talents than it does about the women who are not able to be recognized until a later age....

Enhanced vocal track dubbed in post-show. The producers had weeks to sweeten her track before it aired and they most certainly did do that.

She comes from a large Catholic "good, loving" family with 5 siblings still alive and living near her with 5 broods of their own. She's well-loved by a class-room sized collection of nieces and nephews.

And now, she HAS been kissed. Looks like the very sweet Ms. Boyle and her handlers needed to create a urban legend of a lonely reject to get sympathy for the part of her that wouldn't register with mainstream tastes..

It has certainly worked!!!
