Oh now that's what we need after eight years of the bushies and their insane war-mongering... Another War! And against an enemy we surely will crush - drugs! What ever-loving stupidity.

The really makes you look stupid Obama. You can cut the cartels off at the knees. Just decriminalize marijuana. Do you really want to lose the confidence and support of every American smart enough to pour pi$$ out of a boot?

Days go by. And I'm still at the top of this thread. I don't think its because nobody cares. I think its because everybody knows that the war on drugs will never ever end no matter what. So why even talk about it.

Let's see...we sent troops to Korea, Viet Nam, Somalia, and Iran all with excellent results. How could this not work?

Why throw another 100 billion on the fire, solve this problem with a pen and piece of paper?

I buy the pen and paper if that would speed things up at all.

Ending the drug war, as Obama has stated is the only way to stop the violence. Prohibition never works, it only makes the problem worse.

J Edgar Hoover would not let the FBI investigate drug trafficking because he knew it would corrupt the department. He was right. Keep the military out of the drug trade they're corrupt enough already. Legalize the dam drugs so everyone can go home.

Everybody knows that sending the National Guard to fight drug trafficking will accomplish nothing. The problem will only be solved when drugs are legalized and addiction is treated for what it is, a health issue. What a sleazy idea to send in the military, as if that hasn't been tried before. Maybe the powers that be could issue some pardons to all those poor guys and gals that were jailed simply for possessing drugs. The dog and pony show goes on.
