Prince William Checks Out Construction Equipment (PHOTOS)

Prince William spent part of Friday on a visit to the World Headquarters of JCB in Rochester, England, to mark the production of the company's 750,000th machine. JCB is a manufacturer of construction equipment.

Dressed in a double-breasted suit with a fresh haircut, the heir to the throne got up behind the controls of the the 750,000th JCB vehicle, visited with schoolchildren and tried on some safety goggles.

First of all, the UK serviceman would never be replaced by a US serviceman in a UK regiment.
Second of all, it was never William who was designated to go to Iraq but his brother Harry.
Because the Shiite militia were putting a price on his head which also endangered others from Harry's regiment, the UK War Office decided that Harry would not go to Iraq.
Later on he served in Afghanistan with knowledge of the UK press. The press kept it quiet, again for safety reasons and then some insipid Ozzie-site quickly followed by a US site spilled the beans.
This forced the UK government to withdraw Harry from the warzone.

It is the same in the US: the exact whereabouts of the son of vice-president Biden are unknown to the outside world as well because that would endanger the entire regiment. And if there is one thing a soldier never wants it is to jeopadize his army-buddies.

I was such a Princess Diana fan as a teenager and over the years as she grew into the beloved Princess of Wales and even after her divoce and untimely death. I watched Wills and Harry grow up right along with the rest of the world. It does my heart good to see him bending down to speak with the children and doing things outside of the Royal fishbowl life. He and bad boy Harry are regular blokes in a lot of ways and I love that they have no problem dealing with the regular blokes in life. He is a testament to all his mother worked so hard to achieve with them as human beings.

I could care less about how much hair he has. Would love to see what some of YOU look like - ha. William is a handsome, poised, educated, caring young man. I agree, he will make a great king and his mother would be so proud of him. I hope he has a very long and successful life.

I personally prefer "bad boy" Harry. William is definitely a Mountbatten (Windsor) in looks and demeanor. Harry on the other hand, we are not sure.

adding....... i mean Ive seen him in pictures of African suffering, kids and helping African people, but as far as palsying around or just standing talking to someone that wasn't being fed by him or building them a school or visiting them in a hospital, never seen that photo.........maybe he has no "other" friends...didn't see any in his school pictures...hmm
