I love the way this administration keeps the people informed.

The press drives me crazy. I can't believe the reporter who asked the question about eco-trade. He said to Gibbs "your not at all studying this, measuring the sort of effect this could have economically"

Sounds like an insensitive question to me. Maybe he could focus on the safety and well being of the public health first.

It would be nice if there were some science reporters at work in this country who could go to these events and show they have a clue.

These reporters must not be able to listen to what is being said..They are asking questions that have already been clearly stated by the officials.

Great observation. They don't listen well, but they are good at making up their own stories from what is being said even if it's not the topic of conversation. This presser was to inform Americans of what preventive and curative procedures are in place to help combat this outbreak. What some members of the press got out of this was 1) the President may have this flu, 2) it was an act of bio terrorism 3) Japan is taking stronger action than we are 4) We are allowing Mexico to keep information from us 5) This job can't be done because the secretary has not been confirmed 6) the President is not using all of his powers to protect the American people.

I never thought I'd see the day when the right people would be running the country properly only to be hounded by press corp more interested in creating fictitious scandals.

I am also concerned that the no nothings will use this a hammer against undocumented workers....just because they can.

I can see two lunatic right's talking points 1) The President is golfing and not at the press conference and 2) His visit to Mexico is tied to this outbreak in the U.S.

If only there was a vaccine for that level of paranoia.

What are you talking about? There is NO vaccine for this strain of flu and not only that no one in this country has ever been required to get vaccines..even for children..despite the fact that children without vaccine could be crippled for life with Polio, or die from Whooping Cough. The young in our nation have no concept of what life was like before Polio Vaccine came about. I never
went to a public pool until I was about ten, and during polio season we never went anywhere.
And the reason flu doesn't kill you too often now is that we have ANTIBOTICS if it gets to the
pneumonia state. YEAH for modern medicine.
