I love the Right's view of the media. When the media says something that runs counter to the Right's idealogy or candidate, that means the media is biased and cannot be believed. When the media writes something that is critical of the Left then the Right points out the piece with glee as proof of how bad the left is. My mother called this having your cake and eating it too.

Althogh not as severe, we had a recession shaping up when Bush started his presidency too. His response was to point out that it had began developing in Clinton's admin and to reduce taxes for the higher brackets.
