Online tv is certainly the way to go. I have to say though that blocking these shows from being seen in other countries just restricts their user base and forces the rest of ust to use torrents. Considering I can download a full hour of tv in about 12 min, without commercials and at a higher image quality then online streaming, it's easy to live with. What online streaming has over torrents is instant access and instant access would trump waiting on a download for most people -- with or without commercials. Blocking really does nothing constructive for the producers and distributes of programming and the consumers who are interested in watching.

I see your point; I've been frustrated many times over when I travel and cannot access some of my favorite shows. Even the kids miss their favorite Disney site.
I guess they limit access to US residents only to control the bandwidth.
However, you may bypass their restrictions by connecting through a US based proxy. Make sure you configure your proxy before you travel. Also have a list in a txt file of 100's of alternative proxies just in case.
I learned that lesson the hard way when I was in Dubai and could not connect to any site that listed proxy servers.
