Limbaugh Humane Society Support Angers Fans

Rush Limbaugh's new pet project -- fighting animal cruelty for the Humane Society of the United States -- is riling sportsmen from coast to coast, prompting fears that the talkster typically supportive of gun rights is aiding a group they say has a secret agenda to end all hunting in America.

Twenty-eight groups representing millions of hunters and sportsmen are demanding that the conservative radio commentator end his collaboration with the HSUS and stop "helping them to mainstream their image in the minds of reasonable people."

I had no idea there were anti-humane society people out there. It just seems like a given. So these people would prefer us to allow people to be cruel and allow animals to suffer, just as a matter of opinion......I'm just....I have no words. Wow.

Hmmm! That means Rush is on two lists of those who might incite potential terrorists. He's made a lot of Hay about the Obama (actually Bush) Homeland Security report on the risk of Right-Wing terrorism in the country. Now he'll probably talk about the other one that lists the Humane Society as a probable "recruitment source" for eco-terrorists!

But, honestly, Rush has a thing for cats. He's sort of a male Leona Helmsly....few close human persoanl relationships that he can maintain, but the cats don't argue back.

this really and truly must be an alternate universe, because i never thought i'd find myself defending rush, but dear gawd, here i am.

his affection for animals, and his admission that he actually cried when his cat ddied, is about the only indication that the man is human.

the lawsuit he lost to chryssie hynd over unauthorized use of her music required that his settlement be paid toPETA, and he agreed. where was their outrage over that?

on this issue, all the "hunters" are doing is showing themselves up to bedicklesswonders who get their jollies bykilling helpless animals that they don't depend on for their survival or feeding their families.

leave the man alone about this. it's the only shred of humanity he's got, so let him keep it.
