Bush

A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found that former President Bush's popularity has dropped since he left office.

When he left office in January, 31 percent of American's viewed him positively. That number has now dropped to 26 percent.

President Barack Obama, meanwhile, is more popular than the past two presidents at this point during their first terms.

According to the poll, 61 percent approve of Obama's job -- that's compared with George W. Bush's 56 percent and Bill Clinton's 52 percent at this same juncture in their presidencies.

Also, 64 percent view Obama favorably versus 23 percent who see him in a negative light -- once again, higher than Bush's and Clinton's scores on this question.

Additionally, 64 percent of Americans also "feel more hopeful about the direction of the country with Obama in office," and a full 59 percent feel he has accomplished a "great deal" or a "fair amount."

If dubya has any smarts (and he doesn't) he would be wise to retire to a country that doesn' have an extradition treaty with the U.S. and never leave it.

Paraguay has a new progressive government.

Will have to find somewhere else. Outside Latin America.

Brunei perhaps. Nice oil rich place.

How about the Persian Gulf. ought to be somewhere he can pay off the rulers.

I am the only one that thought he was really hot. I mean, I'm not gay or anything, but I still want to toss his salad.

Maybe it's time for Bushie to retire to that ranch in Paraguay, and take Cheney with him.

It's so refreshing to have such an excellent communicator as President.

George II couldn't even put a coherent sentence together. He ran the country's economy into the ground, lied us into a war that killed over 4,000 American military men and women and 100,000 Iraqi civilians and led the most corrupt administration in history.

No wonder he is at the popularity level of Tricky Dickey I, at the time he was forced to resign. This is the Republican base, which would vote for Atitla the Hunn as head of the Republican ticket.

We should not be surprised. Despite lack of MSM reporting, George II has run into the ground everything he touched in life. He was a drunk half of his life and reportedly used cocaine. After a meeting with Vice President, George I, Ronald Reagan, wrote that George was trying to find his son -- "the one who is 40 something and never had an adult job" -- a job. George II ran four oil companies into the ground and as managing partner of the Texas Rangers was known as the man "who traded away Sammy Sosia."

Elections have consequences. George II ran administration disaster. Barack Obama has started the road to sensible foreign andd domestic policies. He has achieved more in 100 days than George II did in eight years. And don't forget despite all the Republican boasts about "he (George II) kept us safe" after 9/11, the new Pearl Harbor happened on his watch.

Could not agree more! Read Russ Baker's Book titled: Family of Secrets, the Bush Dynasty, The Powerful Forces that put it in the White House, and what their influence means for America. The best book out there on the crooks from George 2, George 1 and Preston the original crooked Bush.

A pleasant, yet effective way of stating the case for this indolent frat boy who ran our country into the ditch. I heartily concur on your succinct assessment.

Um, yeah! What do expect when Americans finally see what we SHOULD have in a president versus what we actually had.

Bush expects to be redeemed by history, but as time goes by he will become
more and more of a blot on democracy and the American image. This will
be especially true after he is finally arrested for war crimes, found guilty and
sent to a federal prison where he will have a cell four down from Dick
Cheney and three down from Bruno One-Eye.
