What's Your Reaction?

Has Michelle become Hillary's muse? A few weeks ago we noticed that Hillary Clinton was looking mightily similar to the first lady when she paired a pantsuit with a wide belt and big flower brooch.

And now the Secretary of State is back at it: on Monday during a meeting with George Yeo Yong Boon, foreign minister of Singapore, Clinton looked snazzy in a salmon jacket and matching belt.

See below or read more about Hillary Clinton's style here.

This is the most ridiculous post I've ever seen. Hillary's look is so different than the FLOTUS and has her own style of dressing that is right for her. HP must have needed something to fill up space. Sheesh.

Hillary Clinton has been wearing belts before Michelle came on the scene. I wear belts does that mean I'm imitating Michelle. Hillary has a small waist and looks nice in a belt. Why do we have to compare.

Hillary is looking good! The salmon color is great on her as is the powder blue. She's proving you can be just as successful and business like in color as you can in black.
Kudos to her.

We have a beautiful First Lady and a beautiful SoS. They look great in all their outfits and make us look wonderful in the eyes of the world.

God, Hillary looks terrible these days. Donna Karan should send her a wardrobe.

God, Hillary's doing such a great job right now.

Not that I come anywhere close to agreeing with your gross assertion. Just injecting some much needed reality.

Oops. Did you hit "Post a Comment" before your finished typing? I was waiting for the reality part.

Sounds right .... ignore the Clinton-h8ters. They like to create their own, tiny, dwindling "reality".

I agree.

Granny Clinton.

Come on, did Michelle Obama invent the belt? There's not even a photo of her wearing something like this. Will we have stories about how Michelle is channeling Hillary when she wears a jacket or a bright pastel?

What is it that she does better please! Try to be a bit more specific as your comment could mean anything. If you mean wears belts better then you must like the wear Michelle wears belts to hold up her breasts. Belts are meant to be worn on waist or hips and Michelle's never end up in either place.

If I see someone wearing something that i think may look good on me I copy it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but if it works for Hillary then go for it Ms. Secretary of State.

People have been wearing belts FOREVER!
If HIllary were copying Michelle's style, she would have the belt on the outside of her jacket.
Trust, if I had either of their waistlines, I'd wear belts too.

Yes, Michelle invented the belt. I am not sure if that was before or after she invented the flat shoe and the capri pant., but I idgress. Not doubt Hillary has never owned a belt before today.

amazing!

LOL - I love the comment "michelle invented the belt". I'm so sick of all of the focus on style rather than substance. What's sad is that they (the media) don't even see their sexist behavior.

Let's have an article on which male politician is wearing a blue tie, red tie, etc.

Obama also invented sleeveless, didn't you know? It's amazing how little it takes to fabricate a "story" these days. I remember just after the inauguration when people were saying that designers who did the one-shouldered look in February had been inspired by Obama's inaugural gown (weeks earlier). It's a good thing that these people aren't making policy.

For a retrospective on Clinton's belts, some examples from before the Obama belt-way:

Here are some throwbacks to Clinton's belt-wearing days, some successful, some not so much:

Hillary looks wonderful! She has her own style which is more important than following the latest fashion.

I love Michelle, and I think Hillary is great. Why oh WHY does everything in the Style section have to be worded as a competition, a comparison, or in terms of "copying" someone else's style?!?!

Cut it out already!!!
