Paul Ryan: "Most Of Us Think" Norm Coleman Has Lost Senate Race (VIDEO)

In an interview with Katie Couric on the CBS News webcast after Obama's press conference Wednesday, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) said he doesn't hold out much hope for Norm Coleman in the protracted Senate race in Minnesota.

Discussing the significance of Arlen Specter's defection to the Democratic party, Ryan said, "This is the 60th vote."

"If Al Franken wins," Couric offered.

"Yeah, and most of us think that that's gonna happen," Ryan said.

Paul Ryan scares me, because he has that aw-shucks innocent boyscout look that fools tons of Wisconsinites into thinking he's moderate. But if you look at his economic record, he's almost fanatically free-trade, even though its bleeding southern Wisconsin DRY. We used to be the workshop of the midwest. Ryan is hellbent on ending that. I have no idea what he wants to replace it with, given that he also won't let us develop the stem cell technology we more or less invented in Madison.

He's only a GOP "leader" because all the rest of the guys in front of him are either disappearing, or getting voted out of office, or so old that the GOP can't really afford to give them much face time anymore.

Franken should pay to continually broadcast Coleman stating that Franken should except the will of the people, the argument he made the day after election day when criticizing Franken for considering requesting a recount. How does Coleman spell HYPOCRITE??

I agree about the blatant obstructionism. The tactic works so well because only Norm is pressing the appeal. Sure he has a few Hard-line GOP Senators urging him to go the distance. But, those who are urging him are hypocritical cheerleaders.

The GOP has put Norm Coleman out on the ledge of a building and is selling tickets to let everyone watch his suicide. But, they haven't collected enough dough off the deal yet, so they tell him to keep making noise but don't jump yet!
