Florida Senate Bush

Washington Times:

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Saturday that it's time for the Republican Party to give up its "nostalgia" for the heyday of the Reagan era and look forward, even if it means stealing the winning strategy deployed by Democrats in the 2008 election.

"You can't beat something with nothing, and the other side has something. I don't like it, but they have it, and we have to be respectful and mindful of that," Mr. Bush said.

All the things wrong in our country started with Raygunomics. The Wingers haven't figured it out yet, but hisory will prove this out. Raygun is to be blamed.

Raygun might have started the true greed and corruption, but there was Nixon before him, and GW BUSH after him. You can't recover your integredy when there has never been any. Finally, the totally corrupt and thieving Republican party has been shone naked for the world to see, and people rejected it in droves. Republicans: You got nothing. People won't be fooled again anytime soon, if at all.

Reagan began the dismantling of the middle class and Jeb's brother pretty much ended it. We really do want to forget the Reagan Era, as much as we want to forget the Bush Era, but since we are standing in the middle of the devastation they have left behind, it's not easy.

But let us not forget what he did because we can't ever have a Bush in the White House again.

Let's be really sure not to forget that JEB BUSH helped his brother to literally S.TEAL the 2000 election, and stood by as his brother moved America towards fa.scism.

Really not a good idea to have a" Bush" politician out there these days. We're living with his brother's legacy as we speak.

Here's the lowdown, Jeb. The American people have turned their back on you, your brother, your family, your political party. 21% and dropping like a stone, fella. That's the reality. Deal with it.

Somebody in this party has got to see how LOONEY they look now. Even if the Dems do a mediocre job, they are still going to get elected into office easier than GOP candidates. They are insulting the intelligence of regular people in this country, and there's no way that people will trust a party that openly has no integrity, no vision, no plan, and no tolerance for people of different social and eth.nic backgrounds.

I will go ahead and say it because it's obvious...the GOP is the party whi.te folks who have not changed with the times. When you look at their functions, rallys, conventions etc., you can count the people of col.or who attends these functions on one hand. Can anybody in the GOP explain this logically???

Do you remember the first Republican debate at the Reagan Library, every one of the candidates said the same thing, "I want to take America back to the time of Ronald Reagan".

Oddly enough they wonder why they don't win the youth vote, mainly because not one of them was born when Reagan was President.

Why don't we go back to the time of FDR or Woodrow Wilson, I myself always admired Teddy Roosevelt.

Then again, some say Lincoln was the greatest President, why don't we go back to the 1840's, remember how easy life was without electricity, running water, in home toilets and no internet.

Why would you run for President and look backwards?

This party can give up-- they are not going to be in office for a long time.

The portion of the electorate that they could count on to vote them in to office, even when it meant voting against their own interest ,has caught on.

There is a reason they need to go on a listening tour--they never counted on actually listening to middle and working class people--they just used hot button emotional issues and the politics of fear to keep that part of the electorate in their fold.

Now that those people have figured out that they offer them nothing--just more cut taxes for the people who don't need them because they are the productive ones, who create jobs, i.e., who deserve it--people are saying no way.

That's why all they have left are the extreme fringe parts of the party. I wouldn't want to be a Repub right now either.
