Jim Bunning: McConnell "Selfish," To Blame For GOP Losses

Sen. Jim Bunning today renewed his attacks on his fellow Kentucky Republican, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, accusing him of selfishness and being responsible for lost GOP seats in the Senate.

"Good God, he wants to run everybody," Bunning said of McConnell during a conference call with reporters.

Much as I dislike McConnell, he's not stupid. Jim Bunning is not the sharpest tool in the republican shed and he is the republicans "loose cannon." Now that it looks like they have just about lost their filibuster powers, look for Bunning to be jettisoned.

Looks like Operartion Chaos backfired. That said, they don't realize that it was not just one thing that turned things around for the nation. It began with Republican leadership when they put George W. Bush in office. He is dishonest and not very smart. He made decisoins that caused worldwide catastrophies. The decisions alone costed countless lives, both here and abroad. Financial ruin. Suicides. People lost jobs (including people associated with his party, via elections, Rove, happily, but just as an example.) About two nights prior to the election, he blatantly said, "Just say no to Democrats," along with other classics like "if you are not with us, you are against us." He completely divided this national and caused lost of pain.

Sad senators, sad human beings.

But, geez, it's Kentucky. What does anyone expect?

If you think about that metaphor, it's pretty powerful -- imagine how scary it'd be to have a ton of cannon rolling around on the pitching deck of an old wooden sailing vessel in a storm! Bunning seems about as destructive to the Republicans, gotta love it.
