Cantor Bows To Rush: "This Is Not A Listening Tour" (VIDEO)

Rep. Eric Cantor led a much-publicized GOP listening tour this past weekend -- or so we all thought.

"What we're trying to do here today is kick off a series of town hall forums so that we can get back to listening to the people," Cantor told CNN on Sunday morning as he kicked off the rebranding effort.

"Listening to people can make a difference," declared Mitt Romney while sitting on stage with Cantor during the first event. "That's what we're talking about here, we're listening to people."

Fellow GOP luminary Jeb Bush sounded like an echo: "I'm actually optimistic [about the future], if we have the humility to start listening and learning..."

But then Rush Limbaugh spoke up. "We do not need a listening tour," the conservative radio king made clear on Monday. "We need a teaching tour. That is what the Republican Party, or, slash, the conservative movement needs to focus on. Listening tour ain't it."

And so it was on Wednesday morning, when Eric Cantor appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe, that he cleared the matter up. "You know, Joe, really, this is not a listening tour."

We've put together a little video compilation so you can watch the change occur in high-speed:

Really.

Without exception, the GOP must think we have no technology whatsoever. To this very second they still have no idea that one can simply splice together everything they say and find out whether they're liars or not.

Republicans are breathtakingly stupid.

Didn't you all know one of these Eddie Haskell types, a la Cantor, in high school? Their weak swarminess was just as disgusting then as it is now.

Mrs Cantor, Bush and Romney, just consult Rush before you speak in public, he'll tell you what to say , it will be less embarassing for you, you'll look less stupid.

Actually, no. The game Limbaugh is playing is more subtle than that. It wouldn't suffice to repeat what he says. He insists on making people contradict themselves. It's the most elemetary move of power, degeneration of power and abuse of power. It is the ultimate de-rationalization. Those who could possibly speak up are forced to make their own voice useless.

Rush Limbaugh: the gift that keeps on giving.

Like Norton said to his TV the GOP yells at the radio to Limbaugh;
"We're ready O Captain Radio!"

So lil' Eric Can't-er comes crawling with his tail between his legs to the GOP Alpha Male. Big surprise.

And who told the GOP it's a good idea to have a Bush help them remake their image?

The GOP leadership is confusing and not making much sense, like every few days we have one of these embarassing episodes where they say one thing, Rush says another, then they contradict themselves to fall in line. Wouldn't it be a whole lot easier just to check with their Boss FIRST and then move ahead with the days talking points.

To has been evident for some time now that Republicans just can not get used to the fact that there are increasing number of recording technologies. They get Macaca'ed at every turn.
