Dan Rather Dresses Up For "Daily Show" Sketch Mocking Media On Obama Burger (VIDEO)

Dan Rather joined Jon Stewart in mocking the media's coverage of President Obama and Vice President Biden's trip to Ray's Hell Burger Tuesday by dressing up as a 1973 newsman and creating a fake report of a Nixon/Kissinger burrito run.

"I'm standing outside Washington, DC's Cancun Mexican restaurant," Rather said, dressed in a wig. "Inside, President Nixon and Secretary of State Kissinger are enjoying some traditional Mexican entrees. I'm told the President ordered Mexicana Madness — that's a spicy chicken burrito — while Dr. Kissinger opted for a fish taco (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, and copious amounts of a substance known to locals as 'guacamole')."

Rather continued, reporting that Nixon and Kissinger got separate checks — "they're going Dutch on this!" — and joking that Nixon said he doesn't make his own burritos because, "I am not a cook."

Comments like this completely turn people off to vegetarians...while not representative of vegetarians views at all (from what I understand, most don't care if someone else eats meat), you manage to successfully marginalize them by making them look like a bunch of kooks.

Too bad the entire segment isn't posted. He showed how MSNBC spent over 5:00 on this story and then went to FOX NEWS coverage where they were discussing how Ob*ama ki*lled a cow and ate elitist mustard.

Actually it was a commentary on the absurdity that Sean Hannity and crew has become- Hannity was aghast that Obama asked for Dijon Mustard on his burger.

Apparently Obama is not allowed to eat any foreign foods any more. Maybe we are going to be restricted by FAUX to eating only things clearly American...

Did one realize that they actually banned HAMBURG-ers and FRANKFURT-ers for a time in WWI from ballparks. Eventually the latters name was cstandardized to "HotDogs", a nickname that stuck.

So Hannity's ridiculous obsession with foreign foods should mean bans on pizza, tacos, burritos, hamburgers, hot dogs, Chow Mein, egg rolls, etc.

Republicans and right-wingers who are seen in such foreign restaurants or eating foreign foods should be horse-whipped for the traitors they obviously are!

Wrong...Dan was choosen by Walter Cronkite...in addition...Dan, Geraldo, Ed, Walter and a lot of others cover the vietnam War up close and persaonal. CBS, NBC & ABC were the go to networks before cable and the distortion of the news for profit and gotcha BS. I actually saw these guys. Those were the days when news was actually news and reporters went into the field to report.
