BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (AP) -- The woman with whom former Bolingbrook Police Sgt. Drew Peterson has been involved in an on-again, off-again relationship is taking some of her things from his suburban Chicago house.
On Friday, a day after Peterson was charged with first-degree murder in the 2004 death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, Christina Raines loaded some belongings into a vehicle and left.
Raines has been linked romantically to Peterson for several weeks. In February, she told the media she hoped to marry him.
Peterson has for more than a year been characterized as a suspect in the 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy. Until Thursday, authorities had declined to identify him as a suspect in the death of Savio, whose body was found in her bathtub.
