Michelle Obama And Staff Go For Burgers

Not to be outdone by her husband's now famous trip to Ray's Hell Burger earlier this week, Michelle Obama and her staff dined at the DC burger joint Good Stuff Eatery for lunch Friday.

Washington Post has more details on what they ate:

The selection included the Colletti's Smokehouse burger, recently the winner of Rachel Ray's Burger Bash best burger in the country prize, free range turkey burgers, the "Prez Obama" burger, regular burgers and bacon cheeseburgers, served with two kinds of French fries, sea-salt dusted ones and a thyme, rosemary and cracked pepper version. Also on offer were Cliff's Homegrown Vidalia Onion Petals, a kind of high-end blooming onion.

Before this week one might have assumed that eating a hamburger for lunch would be a rather safe move politically. Yet as President Obama learned following his lunch outing with Vice President Joe Biden, the GOP can even find something to dislike in one's choice of condiments. In case you missed it, not only did Sean Hannity mock Obama for requesting Dijon mustard on his burger, but, as HuffPost's Jason Linkins pointed out, the GOP has now turned the Obama mustard order into a 'full-blown right-wing talking point'.

No word yet on what, if anything, Michelle had on her burger. However it seems safe to assume that Sean Hannity will be displeased when he finds out what it is on the restaurant's "Obama Burger": bacon, blue cheese, onion marmalade, and horseradish mayo.

Brandalucia, On the contrary, we appreciate your criticism, but if the shoe were on the other foot, you conservatives would have called us unpatriotic for our criticism of the President and his family. If you feel the plastic flower was of bad taste, great; that is your opinion. Please note the flower was not plastic. It was part of a very lovely necklace and was adorned with rhinestones. Very lovely and original.
