This Week In Unnecessary Censorship (VIDEO)

Jimmy Kimmel is no fan of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the regulatory body in charge of policing the airwaves. So each week he does a segment called "This Week In Unnecessary Censorship," that takes normal every day language and makes it seems lewd by bleeping out words or phrases. As a result everything from "Rachel Ray," to "Wheel of Fortune" comes out dirty...and hilarious.

This week, Jimmy looked at the inappropriate nature of children's cartoons, Jennifer Aniston's filthy mouth, and Chris Matthews uncensored. It's all pretty disturbing for a Saturday morning.

This segment is funny because censorship is funny.
In movies they dub in the word Freakin' or frogging & our minds are supposed
to be tricked into thinking " Gosh, glad they didn't say that word that sends some into
a complete core meltdown for no apparent reason" ?

I especially enjoy it when the computers censor us
"unnecessarily" . They too are just doin' their jobs...

We all know the tempest in the teapot at the FCC over those bad dirty words is just a side show to turn our gaze away from the total failure of that agency to do it's REAL JOB, which is making sure the news is balanced and fair.

By allowing conglomerates like Clear Channel to snatch up most of the local radio stations, television stations, and newspapers around the country they've turned a great deal of the news in America into a wasteland of stupidity and bias...
