Wanda Sykes, the featured entertainer at tonight's White House Correspondents' Dinner, aimed one of her dirtier jokes at Governor Sarah Palin. Sykes noted that Palin had been scheduled to appear but then pulled out at the last minute. Sykes then remarked: "Somebody should tell her that's not really how you practice abstinence."

Limbaugh has said over-the-top things for decades now. He has worked overtime to be the boss of the GOP, and has actually stepped up his presence in the media by letting loose with extremely controversial assertions in recent months.

Before you knock Sykes for being over-the-top one liner, might ought to consider Rush's career of bitterness and hate.

The difference is that Limbaugh is preaching to the choir. His insults are enjoyed by only a narrow audience. Certain comedy routines are for certain audiences. This dinner was for the general public and aired on national TV. Her routine may have gotten laughs from the cool aide drinkers but for most people it wasn't funny.
