I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Cher showed age is just a number when she walked on stage in Vegas over the weekend in a sheer black body suit reminiscent of the one she first wore 20 years ago, dancing around an aircraft carrier in the "Turn Back Time" music video.

Now 62, she looked as good as ever in the bejeweled ensemble, complete with thigh high boots and suspenders.

She was performing at the music producer David Foster's "'Hit Man: David Foster and Friends" concert at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

It's nice that she could keep her figure, but I wish she hadn't had so many face lifts. It starts to make her look like a cartoon after awhile. I think she would look so much better with the facial imperfections.

Wrong. She looks bloated and desperate for attention. Cher can sing tshe doesn't need to resort to this worn out look, it's a detracter, from her real talent..

I honestly don't think anybody should be wearing an outfit like that. I think she doesn't need to dress quite that provocatively to still be sexy and glamorous. That being said, I find the negative comments about her figure (such as she needs a tummy tuck) unfair. I think there are many people less than half her age who don't have nearly as good a body as she does. Wait till you hit your 60's, see how good you look then! She obviously works out and takes care of herself.

Didn't Tyrone Davis sing that beautiful soul song "If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time"?. Well you cannot. At 58, I have never been sick or went under the knife because I eat a very strict diet and exercise everyday and do not gain weight. That is about all I can do and I do not even know the out come of all of that either. We have Cher being sculpted into a plastic doll and Shirley Jones who was absolutely gorgeous as I remember her in 1957, myself a youngster, on Broadway in Oklahoma now saying she is going to pose. Acceptance and realization of your strengths and weaknesses is what all three of us should be doing. It is a shame that youth is wasted on the young. Next we can address the question of Madonna, another in a slew of way back wheners.

She's a visual genious.. Peek a boo everything below the neck draws your attention from the tatooed eyelids and the spent gravity challenged nose.

While she has managed to keep herself mostly in shape, I have to say that in this complete outfit she looks hideous.

I remember Cher when she was a back up singer in Hollywood circa 1963 (?). They used to marvel at her "great set of pipes" , her incomparable vocal abilities, universally noticed in a tight and familiar music business. Meanwhile, Sonny, who I honestly do not even know whether he went to college or not was simultaneously tooling around the record companies looking for a deal. Sonny was a street wise genius who would later, after attaining unimaginable success with Cher as one of rock's most memorable duos and television acts became a US Congressman. The last time I saw Sonny and Cher it was 1977 as I attended their night club act at the Westchester Premier Theatre in Tarrytown, New York. I lived up there at the time and worked for a huge conglomerate, AB Dick as a printing machine salesman. In 2009, none of these businesses exist, the theatre is long gone, Sonny has passed on, we now use computers and I am a freelance writer who does not have to go door to door dragging a business machine. Please,Cher accept your age and maturity as a process that we all go through that is both natural and and fulfilling. We just cannot be 20 forever, I know I do not want to be.

I too remember "those days" . . . but keep in mind that she is an entertainer and performance artist . . . and she does it well - so rather than dis what time as done, enjoy the fact she STILL can deliver a knockout show . . . and most posters would be happy to even come CLOSE to what they looked like even 10 YEARS ago . . . much less a "return to the 60's" . . . not every entertainer has the option to die young and leave perfect images like James Dean or Monroe . . . enjoy the legends while we can and as long as "they" deliver and still sell out every show . . . .

I think Cher is a great performer and her politics are flawless.
She wouldn't be Cher if she didn't try and push the envelop at bit.
