Talking Points Memo:

Earlier today, Ben Smith reported that McCain research director-cum-press secretary Brian Rogers will begin working as the research director for Al Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection. On the campaign trail, Rogers worked alongside deputy communications director Michael Goldfarb, who responded to today's announcement with poise and professional courtesy. "Everybody knew Rogers was a tree-hugger," Goldfarb noted by email, "but I didn't think he'd take it this far. He's dead to me."

Wow, so the republicans don't allow for any free thinking away from their party lines.

Kill trees, pollute the air, destroy our water, dump toxic waste and make millions while your at it.

Where do these childish people come from??

I don't hate my neighbor for being Evangelical...we just have different opinions.

If we start greening up this planet, what's the worse that can happen? If we do and those who don't believe in climate change being partly due to we human's greed and using up everything in the earth, we're still going to be better off than we are today. All that happens is that we improve our own personal envionment. Anyway, I like my lower electric bills....a lot!

The use of the 1970s term "tree hugger" is particularly hilarious. These people can't even enter modernity long enough to pull off a little snark.

Goldfarb's unemployed, isn't he?

Now that is tolerance and diversity we can believe in.
Way to go Republicans - you came through once again and showed your true colors.

note this strange zeal for dittoheads to just alienate everybody to the left of Jesse Helms. and to think these childish twits would work with people throughout the world, when they can't even fathom working with Gore, Reid, Pelosi, et al.

The Republican Party's history is a march from sobriety to knee-walking drunkenness. The party of Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt eventually became the party of the Eastern establishment grifters. Then Senator Taft turned it into the conservative party that fought against entry into second World War and against American labor. Then the party eventually fell under the influence of social conservatives, libertarians, and the Christian right. Finally, under Bush, the neoconservaties took control of the party who saw an imperial America dominating the world in the form of corporatism or if you like, neo-fascism. After Obama's victory, the party - in a panic - took a turn to the antebellum past in the form of a neo-confederate party, dedicated to the reestablishment of feudalism and racism.

The GOP wants to save future generations from debt but doesn't want to save them from extinction because they won't have anywhere to live. There is only one earth and when it is destroyed what good will all the money do the corporations?

The party of bipartisanship--not.

How dare a former campaign worker have morals and values of his own? How dare he want to improve this world?

When I read respoonses like this from the THAT PARTY and THAT CAMPAIGN--making someone dead to them?!--then I take the time to thank G-d that THAT CANDIDATE is not my President.

Does anyone remember the Dr. Seuss book/movie, "The Lorax" ? It reminds me of this situation. He was always running around screaming, "I speak for the trees!" Heck someone has to!!

Therein lies the problem. Americans are a melting pot and are all equal under our constitution..When republicans start representing all americans, not just select few t,hen they be a part of the process again..

It's hard to imagine the "Grand No Party" retains a solid 20% membership, but I suppose people in institutions need something to do.
