Natalie Portman Slams Sean Penn Rumors: "Completely Untrue"

Natalie Portman has taken the unusual step of releasing a statement about her personal life to shoot down rumors that she has or has had a romantic relationship with Sean Penn, newly split from wife Robin Wright Penn.

"Sean Penn is a friend and colleague. The reports that we are romantically involved are completely untrue. I normally do not respond to rumors about my private life, however, this repeatedly fabricated story has forced me to do so."

The pair were both judges at Cannes in 2008, and Star Magazine and the NY Post have each linked the pair.

I'm glad Natalie Portman came forward & made this clear. I thought she was a better person than that ~ couldn't imagine her wreaking up Penn's life with an extra-marital affair.

Does anyone not remember this is the guy that played Spiccoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. That he was in Shanghai Surprise with his other ex Madonna that he left trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey on New Year's eve before she finally got done with him and was ready to bounce.
