Adults don't realize it, but kids get it! Adults should learn from their kids, because they would learn life lessons! Children are much smarter than we give them credit for! Children don't judge unless it's been taught! They will take you at your word, even when they think the adults are wrong! Our young people saw something in this president that the adults didn't see and they wanted this man as the president; what more could we ask for?

What I love best about photos like this are the faces in the crowd. People look so awake and charged. And the children. Those little hands giving him "five".

They're growing up in a different world than I did. As a little girl in Appalachia I never thought I'd get to see the day. And there they are giving a bump or a wave to Barack Obama and it's perfectly natural. No earthquake happened - just a shift in what's possible and what used to be impossible will now be normal for them. I'm so incredibly glad about that.

It is hilarious to see all the comments about "used to" love Pres. Obama, or "used to" be my President...He has inherited the "generous gifts" of an economic meltdown, an unjustified war, etc. courtesy your very own George Bush and has been President for all of 4 MONTHS...not 4 years...I know that when you are "of color" you have to work twice as hard and be twice as smart (at least), but damn people...get a grip on reality...nothing of substance happens in an instant...which is what us Americans are used to, but is just not feasible...give the man some time before you criticize...

I use to read and hear AA say they have to be twice as good to succeed, but dang they were off the mark, they should've said they had to be 100x better, faster, and do the impossible to be success. Those who say " they used to" can give their support to the GOPs then PO can have some breathing space. This will give him 4 years to do what he was elected to do in 4 years. Imagine, a president who inherited a list of catastrophic problems that no president in the history of this country has ever dealt with at one time is expected to do it all now.

The holier than thou, high expectations disgusts me.

What I think is wonderful is that both Michele and Barack communicate with touch. It's also pretty amazing that they show that they love each other and their children.

Can you imagine John McCain and Cindy McCain as our first family. In every picture they both look like they are sucking lemons. Also, I don't think I ever saw a picture where they touched each other much less touched anyone else.
