I Like ItI Don’t Like It

TARP watchdog Elizabeth Warren sat down for an interview with Bill Maher on last night's episode of "Real Time." One of the topics she and Maher discussed was the current credit card legislation and how usury has regained a place within our society. Warren stated that this is the reason we needed a credit card bill of rights, to prevent companies from arbitrarily raising interest rates and burying people in a mountain of debt. Maher took another angle, saying it proved that we really just don't treat each other very well.

Watch a clip of the interview below.

I am no as cynical as Naturallight. I believe Elizabeth Warren is a moral official who is trying to put the statements out if front that the system is broken and it is time that America sees it that way, and push legislators to fix it.

Unless the people speak up and out, unless the people protest the wrongs, unless the people petition their legislators to fix the wrongs, there will no chance for the system to right itself, since as Bill Maher said, our country and government does not have in its nature to do it on its own.

Senate rejects 15% cap on credit card rates.

See how your senator voted. -

Very interesting and very predictable. Personally I think the cap should be 5 % above prime, max!

Oh, I think she is great. A totally reluctant public servant who gets that lending needs to be made a small part of our economic well being and not the sole focus of most Amercians.

Elizabeth Warren is about one of the few people in the whole capitolistic system I trust. A true American looking out for other Americans.

Elizabeth Warren is one smart lady ... and she's right. We do need a CC BoR

though I'm not denying Bill's point: humans really don't treat each other well.

Spare me if I don't have faith in the Elizabeth Warren media blitz. She is a PR front for the ongoing criminal enterprise and looting. Smoke and mirrors.

Please explain your comment. How is she in any way related to what is going on in America today? Other then trying to fix it.

She's only one person and she's up against the financial industry.

But that's the point. We wouldn't need people like Elizabeth Warren if didn't have this "Tricks and Traps" financial market. I get it, so why can't you?

And this tricks and traps era began in the late 1970's "Reganomics" at it's best.
