It said she wanted "more" money and she was holding things up to get it. Sorry, $200,000 is a lot of money between "best friends" already. What I find very telling is this jump to do a sequel - that smells of wanting even more, more money all at the expense of a dying friend. I don't like it.

Source: The New York Post. I don't really care or care to know about the particulars, but given the source it's not worth anyone's time. Next!

Getting paid $200 K, hardly a large sum after taxes.
Hanging out filming your dying friend for 2-3 years, priceless!

She deserves a medal.

Some how the motives here seem questionable. My heart goes out toFarrah.

Having worked for an indy film company, I can say this, it takes money to do a project right. You have to hire people, pay for rental of equipment, pay insurance, pay to edit if you do not own the equipment yourself, its not cheap. Nobody knows what she has spent, whtat she still owes on this. Only Alana would know this. Before you all attack her for greed, look to see what else might be going on here. Also, nobody knows what she plans to do with that money once she has it, it might go to cancer research in Farrahs' honor. I won't attack either woman, I think this is a sad situation, and its a private situation and this won't have a happy ending. People are going to cry, lose a mother, step mother, partner, friend, lover. Let's let them deal with this in private shall we. Show some decorum people.

Some of you hit the nail on the head, it's business. From the headline, I thought that the best friend was asking for big time money. In the scheme of thing $200,000 is not big time money, especially after local, state, and federal taxes.

So? TV is a business. And although she wanted to do this for good reasons, why shouldn't she be paid for the work that she did and the potential ratings she'd bring in.

This whole documentary thing surprises me about Farrah. Hasn't she been an extremely private person in years past? I never read much about her personal life over the years. I really admire the thought behind this, but I'm wondering about Ryan and Alana's motives here.

When it comes down to money, you know that it's not about friendship anymore.

Pity.

What a shame. Am sorry to read this article and sad for Farrah. This is her best friend?

How much more money does this woman need, the ex wife of both George Hamilton and Rod Stewart.
She must have cleaned them both out. Well, it takes all kinds.

Aside, I do remember when both Alana and her ex at that time, George, once had a TV show. It was rather good and was sorry to see it taken off the air.

A sequel? hmmmm....I'm thinkin' ah...NO! We've seen her endure numerous treatments, witnessed her slow physical, mental and emotional decline, come to appreciate that this is not only a rare cancer, but more needs to be done to study it, and that she is a brave soul who is suffering. What can possibly be added...a sequel? That puts a bad taste in my mouth...a sequel? No!

Vegas...I agree...I seem to believe that Farrah herself wanted this first docu made... and frankly, as a woman who just completed horrid chemo and 6 weeks of radiation for an aggressive cancer...Farrah gave me..not hope..but a sense that I wish I could have just a drop of her strength and grace in this battle... but a sequel...of what? her last breath?...more vomiting...stoned out on necessary pain medication...there is NO point... We saw a beautiful woman let go of vanity...an act of strength and caring for others facing this "terrorist" (very good word for cancer..I friggin HATE this monster...and there is no test that tells me if my kind is cured...talk about limbo)... back to the point...a sequel would be pure exploitation... I will reserve opining on Alana since this news broke in the Post (duh)...but I think/hope MY friends...if I'd had the courage to have a camera fim me in chemo (no one should EVER suffer that)...and vomitting and crying ...MY friends would film it for nothing...not even cost.... and I rather think Alana can afford the first class ticket to Germany....(did farrah pick up that tab?)....

I want what was beautiful to stay that way...and not turn into a circus...

I endured the first round. Do I want to sit through another. I think not. It's all so heart breaking. The second go is definitely exploitative. This is probably the most attention Ryan O' Neal has gotten since Love Story.

This article was disgusting! Not the pictures, but what they sell as so-called treatments here. All I can say is watch this video and never go to the "hospitals" in this country ever again: http://bit.ly/14rxgk

Well, you asked for it. Inside Edition is reporting that they're working on Part 2 of Farrah.

sorry, but $200K is not a "hefty payday," especially for these people.

considering that stewart was the one who filmed practically everything, i would have to say that she deserved the 100k over the other guy.
