Jessica Biel In Allure: My Beauty "Really Is A Problem"

Jessica Biel graces the June cover of Allure magazine, and inside she talks about boyfriend Justin Timberlake, marriage, and the cons of being so hot.

Biel, 27 says she wants a career like Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman, and that she struggles to get desirable parts:

"I'm in there with everybody else, fighting for the good parts. Yes, 'The Illusionist' has made a difference -- but a huge, massive difference, so I can pick and choose what I want? No."

She continues, "I just want an opportunity. If you don't like the audition, don't hire me! But if you don't want to even see me -- that's hurtful. And why? You know nothing about me!"

So are her good looks hurting? "It really is a problem," she says. "I have to be blunt."

As for her personal life, she isn't sure about marriage. "I have no idea if I want to get married. I have a lot to do, career-wise."

And she talks about dating Timberlake. "I mean, you love who you love! It's not like you meet somebody one day and say, 'OK, I'm not going to put up with his fame!' or 'Yes, I am going to put up with his celebrity,'" she says. "You can't choose that. It just happens to you."

I truly don't understand how she can say, in the same interview, that she wants the roles that Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson receive but really, it's her good looks that are hurting her. I would argue that Natalie and Scarlett are some of the more beautiful actresses out today...an­d their looks don't seem to be hurting their career. Hell, Jessica Alba has a career because she's considered hot.

I personally haven't been a fan of Jessica Biel since 7th Heaven, but that is because I don't think she is a strong actress.

At 27, her comments, if taken in context, appear incredibly shallow. I wish her luck, but something tells me she's going to have serious problems with most of her relationships

Twelve years ago, Jessica Biel had a part in the film, Ulee's Gold.
In my opinion, that is the type of acting role she is seeking.
I occasionally watch my copy of the film.
It is one of the better films of the 90's.
And her performance was great.

Ms. Biel has always held herself in high regard -- ever since that awful TV show she was on.
she desperately needs a reality check.

The problem is her acting.

Johansen and Portman are talented actors.

Biel is not a good actor.

I'd hate to see someone taken to task for something they've said that doesn't shed them in the best light especially if it was not worded the way they wanted, but virtually every comment on this post is by far worse than what Jessica Biel said.
