Meghan McCain Talks Sex With Stephen Colbert (VIDEO)

Meghan McCain went on the "Colbert Report" Monday night to discuss whether Republicans will win the youth vote by being open-minded on social issues or by learning to use Twitter. McCain's view: the first one. John McCain's daughter described herself as a "pro-sex Republican" and a "pro-sex woman," but she refused to lick Stephen Colbert's face or talk about Sarah Palin.

Still, Colbert concluded, "When you say 'pro-sex woman' I think the Republicans' numbers go north."

What is the relevance of Meghan McCain? Let us apply a simple test to that. If her father was not the Republican Presidential candidate in 2008, would anyone be interviewing her on anything? Does she have deep insights into worldly topics? Does she have degrees and experience which help her to become an "expert" at the early age of 24?

I guess I don't understand why she calls herself a Republican when the only social ideal of the Repub's she embraces is pro-life. Maybe she's a cafeteria Republican. I think she's confused.

The history of the republican party has varied a lot on social issues. She is probably fiscally conservative and therefore republican.
I don't think she is confused. I think she has a very good head on her shoulders.

No I actually think she has it. What she stands for is what the Republicans will eventually have to figure out they stand for or they'll never win anything again. The country has shifted to at minimum center-left, if not left. She is ridiculed by the Conservative ilk, but I happen to think she has the way they need to shift policy completely pegged.

I just don't understand why there is all this vitriol towards her. It is not about who wins or loses. It is about the quality of life in our country. It sounds to me like she is making a pretty bold statement for change in her party. What is not to like about that ?
