Michael Savage Tees Off On Limbaugh

All is not well in the world of talk radio today, as an internecine spat is being brewed up by right-wing host Michael Savage, who today spent a portion of his airtime criticizing fellow conservative talker Rush Limbaugh. Oh noes! What has come between the two men? England, it seems! Well, according to Media Matters, here's what Savage said:

SAVAGE: And yet here in America, I've had some people come to my aid. They see the bigger picture. They're not like [Bill] O'Reilly; they're not like Limbaugh, who's the biggest disappointment of all. Limbaugh has turned out to be the biggest phony of all of them, all of them. Amongst all of them, he is the biggest fraud. Rush Limbaugh is a fraud. When he was accused of the drug usage, I supported him. But that man is a one-way street. It's all about him. He's in it for nobody but himself.

I guess that Limbaugh wronged Savage by not coming to his aid when Great Britain's Home Secretary Jacqui Smith barred Savage from entering the United Kingdom, along with white supremacist Stephen "Don" Black and anti-gay gadabout Fred Phelps. In Limbaugh's defense, I find it hard to believe that Savage actually wanted to go to England. I mean, wouldn't all the socialized heath care anger him? Wouldn't he be revolted at the thought of "bangers and mash," which Savage would inevitably misconstrue? Anyway, I'm guessing it was news to Limbaugh that Savage actually wanted to piss off to dear old Blighty, but there you have it.

In another month or so, these two will be fighting over what remains of the ad revenue generated by the auto industry. So, look forward to that!

come on - it's important for people like mike savage to visit foreign countries - in fact, if he spent the rest of his life on the road, he'd become a permanent ambassador for brain-less wonders everywhere, not just on our shores - his brand of venom and ignorance must not be contained here, but sent abroad as a heroic example of a cosmically troubled mind - in fact, a one-way trip on a space shuttle should be considered - perhaps some alien life form would find a purpose or a cure for his condition -

Savage is certifiably insane, but one of his only redeeming qualities is the fact that he regularly bashes Limbaugh and Hannity. This post seems to imply that that his criticism of Limbaugh is a new phenomenon. In fact, he's been at it for years.

Since I'm the only leftist who takes perverse pleasure in listening to him, I'm just letting you know!

How ironic would this be for one idiot to expose Limbaugh for what he really is: a businessman.

I once read an artilce somewhere that had profiled Limbaugh because of his really big house and the fact that he had dropped like $50- 55 million on a private jet. In this article, he more or less admitted that he wasn't really a conservative, but a businessman and an entertainer who found the Comstock load (white male anger) tapped into it, was able to say in public what they say privately and make millions of it.

This would make Limbaugh an even worse character because he knowingly creates and falsifies the 'truth' for personal gain, this doesn't make him warm and fuzzy; it only points to the vein of individuals in the dominate culture who are not honest about the American system, and then those who choose to perpetuate racism and fear. Limbaugh sits in a very unique place because for those who choose to brush off his b.s. as entertainment, they can ignore the significance of his voice telling millions of listeners some very irresponsible things and some very wrong things about a wide variety of subjects.

The line that 'Rush' is harmless, because he is just an entertainer is the same sort of self-denial that has other major issues bogged down;
