The new chief Republican counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee wrote a blog post last month in which he linked same-sex marriage to pedophilia, according to a Web site that has since been taken down.

It disgusts me to no end to see an elected official in a very powerful and influential position say something so ludicrous and ignorant that the lives of millions are affected. What is the connection Mr. Smith? What is your thesis? Where is your proof, your data, your analysis, your credentials to make such a statement? What an asinine, gratuitous, politically motivated pile of trash!

Why on earth would homosexuality be closer to pedophilia than heterosexuality? The truth is that this is pure politics and grounds for impeachment if ever there were any. How would American's react if he had come out and made a baseless statement connecting heterosexuality with pedophilia.

Just more hate, more christian conservative phobia and guilt. The same old ignorant garbage the GOP has been pedaling for decades!

Mr. smith, educate yourself, and not from a right-wing website. 50% of all child molestation, males and female, is done by the father, step-father, or father surrogate-- men who identify as Heterosexual in terms of their interests and experience. Another 25 to 30% is done by a family member or friend. And do you know why? The word is called ACCESS. That's why pedophile priests molest more boys than girls: not because they are gay, but because they have access. Those who get their kicks with adolescent boys are doing so because of a) access and b) they never grew up.

Why is it that a man who molests boys is called homosexual, but a man who molests girls-- about 80% of all molestations-- is called a child molester, and not heterosexual? Can see you say "I HATE QUEERS?"
