I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Jesse And Kilmeade

My word, Jesse Ventura is basically straight up walking across America from one television news studio to the next, just plain wreckin' whatever fools he finds hanging out there, like he was Caine in Kung Fu or something. Here's a clip of Ventura dispensing his version of street justice to the gaggle of naifs that host Fox And Friends. Brian Kilmeade, who I believe the kids call "the Brown one," is goaded into riling Ventura up on waterboarding, and it doesn't really go well. "If we're not going to be a country that goes by the rule of law when it's convenient or inconvenient then what do we stand for?" Ventura asked. Kilmeade whined back that things are different when "people are on fire" and "buildings are blowing up." Ventura maintains, "I wouldn't torture," properly citing the fact that it produces "baloney."

Oy. Then the Brown one says that his support for torturing the bejeezus out of people will end when "they're dead," which was not a smart thing to say to Ventura. "Really? Have you enlisted? Have you enlisted or are you just talking?... Go walk the walk, don't talk the talk."

Actually, I think we can all agree that having Brian Kilmeade attempt to defend this country in any capacity would be one of the worst ideas imaginable.

Jesse Ventura's argument against torture is getting some air time. Looks like a colorful and patriotic figure can sometimes get a word in edge-wise on these kangaroo court shouting matches.

Terrorists can't take freedom from us by killing US citizens or destroying buildings. But when we torture our enemies, we validate their barbarism; a truly free people has faith in civilized behavior, even when threatened. That's why torture's against the law.....To some, this just sounds weak. Maybe that's why we need a former Navy Seal (who's been waterboarded) and professional wrestler to make a case for civilized behavior. In any case, I don't believe fear-based foreign policy keeps us SAFE OR FREE, although the damage to credibility and divisiveness in its wake is real enough.

I don't agree with all of Mr. Ventura's opinions, but I'm guessing he's honest enough and not a fearful guy......and terrorism only works when we're afraid.

Jesse Ventura is a bulldog. He talks from the position of having military experience, and that shows up best against the pu$$ies who avoided service, yeah, you cheney and bush, and most republicans and you Faux-nies. http://www.awolbush.com/whoserved.html. Thank you Mr Ventura for speaking out because you have access to and an innate understanding of the Faux followers' train of thought.

I want to see Jesse Ventura have a serious conversation with Bill O'Reilly (who MIGHT have the moxie to let that happen) or with Rush Limbaugh (who is too weak to permit open debate against a strong opponent). He would knock their socks off.

Fox is a travesty to the word "news."

The republicans have had a rough week with Jesse "the mind" Batch Slipping every pro-torture republican in sight. All of it on the tube. Then Glen Beck gets batch slipped by the women on "The View". They tried to make him cry, but he just whined a little bit.

We need more people in unions to fight the union boss power structure, we need more congressmen to fight Pelosi and Reid, we need more people to fight the Obama power structure.

It's not good to have so much power in the hands of so few left-wing ideologues.

It's not good to have so much power in the hands of ANY political group. EVER. Part of why we're in such a mess now is that the Republicans faced weak opposition and did as they pleased. We need at LEAST two viable parties to keep the system healthy, otherwise we have inadequate checks and balances. But those in power now would never have been considered "left-wing ideologues" until recently, when the Republicans went so far to the right they nearly fell off the edge of the earth. Back in the Reagan years for instance, we'd have called people like Obama and the Clintons "moderates" or maybe "on the left side of liberal."

Clinton was on the right side of liberal, and I'm beginning to have my doubts about Obama.

Kiddo, you're once again projecting massively.

We know that you believe that we think and operate the same way as your leaders on the hard right, and we understand that terrifies you.

But the fact is, we don't operate like you, and we don't think like you.
There is overwhelming evidence to support this, but you are determinedly blind to it, given that reality doesn't sit well with childish hyper partisans such as yourself.

We listen to other people's arguments, and sometimes, if the argument has merit(ie not based on the denial of reality, and not designed solely to derail our agenda) we'll even change our position - and that's not ceding principle, that's democracy at it's finest.

I find it amazing that if, as you claim, you're a 67 year old ex colonel, that your behavior and your opinions resemble that of a 14 year old kid blindly and thoughtlessly regurgitating the words and opinions of right wing hate talk show hosts: the leaders of the American Taliban: Limbaugh, Hannity and Cheney to name three of the worst - and to whom you plagiarize and otherwise resemble to a T.

What's his name Fox guy may be a wuss, a wimp and a puss but he works for BSN, people. He's paid to "read a script". You expect "those" people to think, outside the box ,when they have been trained "to become the box"?

Please tell me he will be wrecking the cast of Morning Joe in the near future.

And many thanks to the governor for redeeming the reputation of independence for my home state of Minnesota after Michele Bachmann's Bush enabling shenanigans. It's been a long time since I've been home and I'm proud to be from the humble but proud land o' lakes.
