Olbermann WTF Moment: Rush Limbaugh (VIDEO)

Rush Limbaugh has challenged MSNBC to not mention him or have any of their guests comment on him for 30 days. At first blush this seems a rather strange challenge for the controversial radio host to issue considering he is never one to shy away from attention. In Countdown's "WTF Moment" tonight, Olbermann thinks he's ferreted out the real reason: Limbaugh just can't take the scrutiny anymore.

Most people who say Rush is ignorant are ignorant themselves and have not even listened to an entire Rush program, or they have listened and don't get that he's being facetious half the time.

I'm not a huge fan of Rush but I have agreed with some of his views and can tolerate his arrogance. BUT only by this one clip, I despise Olbermann based on his maturity here. "FU?" That's your smart retort? Showing pictures of Rush bobbing up and down, and making fun of his obesity? Real mature.

Rubbish. I have listened to Rush off and on since the early 90's, and he is sheer garbage. He has a shallow understanding on on topical matter, and most of his rants are a projection of himself. With that in mind, I figure that anyone who actually listens to this man with any seriousness must possess as shallow of an understanding as Rush himself.

Take the other day when he was on Glenn Beck, and accused the president of being a "nacissist." Coming from Limbaugh, one of the most narcissistic people in media, it's laughable.

And he is not true to any of his supposed views. Defending the Constitution? Give me a break -- he has no real interest in the Constitution, Heck, he doesn't even know it, since he confused the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

I have watched Limbaugh's TV show, read his books, and listened to his radio program, and it's a bunch of lies and misrepresentations. He is an awful excuse for a political pundit, and a worse excuse for a person.

And Limbaugh relentlessly mocks other people all the time. Where is the concern when Limbaugh has made this his shtick for two decades? Why are you even defending this mean-spirited individual who's spite is evident to anyone with the slightest ability to observe human behavior?

Bravo! Limbaugh is trying to say that without him as the center of the liberal universe, there will be no ratings. But if he had to stop his liberal bashing for the same period, he wouldn't have any either.

However, I'd love to see MSNBC declare as Al Franken did, "Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot" and declare him irrelevant for a week. Don't give the publicity hound the coverage he lives for. Keep track of his lies and blatherings for a week and do a quick special on him and get it over with, then declare him irrelevant again.

Liars need to be called out, but blowhards who get attention just blow harder, and the vicious cycle never ends.
