'JON & KATE' SNEAK PEEK: Separate Interviews, Detachment (VIDEOS)

Access Hollywood got an advance clip of the impending season of "Jon & Kate Plus 8."

Amid stories of marital strife, numerous magazine covers and reports of affairs, the once cozy couple is now filming their episodes separately, instead of side-by-side as they have every season previously.

Jon somewhat cryptically tell the cameras "Kate and I have obviously been going through some stuff. Discussing what's best for kids."

After an awkward scene from their sextuplets recent birthday party is shown, "Access" then played a clip from their own set last year, when the family was visiting and the parents snapping at each other.

"Columnist Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times has a scoop that, really, just about anyone vaguely connected with the American pop culture scene knew was coming: Jon and Kate - The Movie.

Yes, everyone's favourite kinda-married, multiple child-endowed couple, who have admitted that tabloid attention has caused problems in their relationship, are in discussions to have their life story turned into a TV movie.

"I've learned the couple are not feuding as much as they are putting on and are quietly negotiating yet another deal," says Zwecker.

Doesn't really mean that there isn't serious trouble in paradise with them... all the more reason to try to hold things together long enough to ink a movie deal before any divorce papers are filed. They both look very pained and tense not just when around each other, but in their individual interviews. It's my opinion that Kate is medicated -- she just looks and acts mildly sedated to me.

I sense that things are very strained, but they are working to keep their game faces on, because, let's face it, that's where their bread is buttered. They can't get another big paycheck on a movie if they don't hold it together at least for appearance sake.

If TLC actually did the right thing and canceled their show, I bet you anything Kate would turn those kids into traveling circus performers. Take them around the world in some van, pretend that she homeschools them, and sell tickets to any creepy gawkers willing to pay the price of admission. She's that hungry for money! Someone needs to make sure that any money being made is being split ten ways, one for Kate, one for Jon, and one each for the kids. The children's money should be placed in trust, with neither parent having access! Those kids are earning every cent with the loss of their privacy.

Do you have any sense of reality??? Do you realize that there is an army of nannies taking care of these kids and the parents act like parents on camera only? This show is a hoax and is entertainment. TLC has done shows like this before that started out pretty nice and then generated into complete shams till they were exposed. Jon and Kate are in it for the money only. Someone should sue TLC for passing this on as a "reality" show. Here's a "reality" check for you: Has anyone realized the difference in Jon and Kate from when the show first aired and now? That pretty much says it all. These two have turned into the money grubbing white thrash they really are.

What is our national fascination with creating train wrecks just so we can watch as it happens and then wring our hands afterwards wondering why it happened?
Stop watching and stop patronizing their advertisers and it will end.

Americans love to create fantasies and than destroy them, often followed by redemption of the destroyed. People also like to watch train wrecks because it makes people feel better about themselves. Read "Life: The Movie", by Neil Gabler.

Aren't they both about due for a mid-life crisis? I think everyone has one to some extent, but whether you let it ruin your marriage or not is a decision you make, not something that just happens. I hope they can stick through it and hold out for when times get better. I would love to know when either one of them had TIME to have an affair. I don't have time and I don't have 8 kids or 10 kids, or however many there are.

I wonder if the surgery to Americanize Jon's eyes was also a "freebie" -- like Kate's tummy tuck, Jon's hair transplant, teeth whitening for both, Kate's breast life and spa treatments, "renewing their vows" trip to Hawaii (such a sham! saying it would show the kids how they would "always be together" -- LOL), wardrobe makeovers for all, etc. etc. etc.

When you factor that in to having cameras and professional lighting in your house nearly round the clock, nearly year round, and having no real friends, seeing relationships with long-time friends and family (Beth and Bob, Kevin & Jodi & their kids) be ripped out from under you, the "values" being transferred to these poor meal tickets, er, I mean CHILDREN, are just seriously warped. Kind of like "Palin Family Values."

The tummy tuck, hair transplant, teeth whitening and spa treatments were all documented on tv. A breast lift wouldn't surprise me--Kate was asking the tummy tuck doc about working on her breasts and he declined, saying they were fine as they were. Don't think Jon got the eye surgery--he is half-Korean, half-caucasian, so they were already "Americanized" on their own.

Well, I detect a very, very big difference in Jon's eyes suddenly vs. how they looked in the first 4 seasons. I get that he's Korean-American, but the change is so dramatic -- he just miraculously looks like a "round eye" all of a sudden??? I don't think so. Frankly, I think he looked a lot better before - now he just looks weird. I think they are both totally into cosmetic surgery (she pushing him, no doubt, as she did with the hair plugs). A very vain, superficial woman and Jon has always complied.

Apparently, that was Kate's doing. TLC wanted to give them contracts and then pay them and Kate said no. Kate is the one who "ripped" the friendships. They don't even seem to have relationships with their own parents.

I guess the gravy train will be coming to an end. Kate wants to hold on for maximum $$$ as long as possible, like a money-grubbing media who-re. It's also going to do maximum damage to the kids, so her "hard-earned" money off the meal tickets, er - I mean, CHILDREN, had better be socked away to pay for extensive therapy for all 8 of those "little faces." Looks like the get-rich-off-your-kids scheme is about to backfire big-time.

I have not heard a more laughable statement than her "everything I've always done has been for the children" -- perhaps the only thing rivalling that as a transparent lie is Chainee's "we kept America safe."
