Cindy McCain Sports New Bob At Naval Academy Graduation (PHOTOS)

Cindy McCain, who was famous for her long blond locks, debuted a new bob at the US Naval Academy graduation ceremony on Friday.

The Arizona senator's wife appeared to have cut off approximately 6 inches of hair. As she watched her son John McCain IV graduate, she wore a ruffled pink dress with matching bolero jacket, a string of oversized pearls, and a straw hat to block the sun.

Also in attendance: Roberta, the senator's feisty 97-year-old mother (watch her give a tour of her apartment and talk stilettos here), daughter Bridget, and, of course, Senator John McCain himself.

thank GOD she cut her hair. she was a little old for that long hair. she looks much more modern. maybe if she had cut it before or if they had brought bridget out (the dark one) mccain might have been president-NOT.

Wow, no wonder people of all other races, colours, laugh at us white people. Look at the group of tight lipped, skinny old white people sitting around the McCains...­.I've suddenly just clued in to what other cultures have seen all along.....­we have a new standard of beauty now and it ain't country club blondes!!

I'm really surprised that Cindy, who has tons of money and good style sense, couldn't have looked better..di­dn't like the dress at all. I'll bet with the hat off, the bob looks kind of cute though.

I will say this much...I'm not a fan of the family politics, but John and Cindy have produced two very striking children.

You've got to be happy for any parents who get to see their children accomplish their hearts desire in life....ev­en if you don't agree with their ideology.

Jack McCain got kicked out of several high schools for bullying until he finished up at a military school. And then got a nomination to the Naval Academy, shoving aside some no-doubt unknown really smart dude with a great record. It really is who you know...

I maybe cynical, but I don't think it is possible to get in the Naval, Coast Guard, or Marine academy without serious connections.
Outstanding grades, and character will not suffice.

I remember when you needed a state elected official recommendation to get into state grad schools inthe midwest.
