That's the Democrats for you. They are the ones who filibustered Judge Estrada fo 28 months and would not allow a vote on his nomination for 28 months despite being rated as well qualified by the American Bar.

Bannorhill is a typical repukelican. Lie, then lie about lying. Rewrite history, and lie about what actually happened. Conservatoads can't help but believe that everyone is as stupid as they are, BECAUSE THEY ARE STUPID. If they had any brains, they'd be liberals, and quit voting against their own self-interests.

The photo of Sessions, a leader of the NEW Grandpas Opposing Progress, looks like an outtake from a Metamucil® commercial.

Pure slime. Practicing for the obstructionism for the Superior Jutice. These fools are starting to be so predictable that it is a joke. and it is slowing down any progress in our going forth in this country. The Party of No IS the problem and has been the problem. I don't think they are there for the country or to defend the US Constitution. They are there to prove to their constituents and family members and poor mothers dead or alive....that they are just plain ole stupid people who couldn't make it in the real world on a good day...and succeeding with that.

Are you talking about the Democrats who practiced for the obstruction for Justice Estrada? Were you calling the Democrats "Pure Slime" when they would not allow a vote on him for 28 months? Did you accuse the Democrats of slowing down any progress in our going forth in this country?

The Democrats invented the tactic and the Republicans may use it. We see if it gets dragged out as long as the Democrats did.

Jeff, old son, hustle on back to the plantation and get robed up. You'll be late for the cross burning.

Poor Beau, he never got over being turned down for a judgeship.

The Judiciary Committee did not vote to recommend him even though St. Ronnie nominated him.

These Republicans are just obstructionists plain and simple. All they know how to do is stall or stop anything Democrats try to do. Their reasons for doing these things are stupid and their actions are unamerican.

Where do they find these cracker SOB's?

"In 1986, Sessions was nominated for a federal judgeship by Reagan. The nomination was killed by the Senate Judiciary Committee, which refused by a 9-9 vote[3] to let the nomination come to the Senate floor for a vote. Sessions' opponents accused him of "gross insensitivity” on racial issues.[2][4] Sessions made a variety of comments that opponents pointed to, including remarks that he thought that the Ku Klux Klan was not so bad until he found out that some of them smoked marijuana.[2][4] Sessions also had once labeled the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) "un-American," "Communist-inspired," and had said that they "forced civil rights down the throats of people." At his confirmation hearings, Sessions said that the groups could be un-American when "they involve themselves in un-American positions" in foreign policy.[4][4] Sessions claimed that the remarks had been made in jest.[2][4] One of those voting against him was Democratic Senator Howell Heflin of Alabama."

If these idiots of NO in the Limbaugh-bootlicking Republican Party don't shape up and do the bidding of the American people, they will never redevelop any power base at all. The problem is that there are too many actual voters that they ignore who are beginning to despise them for their sociopathic authoritarianism.

Kneejerk rejection of populist progressivism will continue to thwart their reemergence from the ideological ditch they have dug for themselves.

The problem for them is that most Americans are not hypocrites like they are.

I agree...but we have little choice but to show patience. Notice how the Repubs, led by such "stalwarts as Michael Steele and Limpbone, continue to self-destruct on an almost daily basis....w/out any assistance from the Dems or our Pres. Thus, I think the WH hands off approach is working just fine. As the Pres works on reparations of the nation, Repubs continue to do such things as the Georgia Rep. proposed recently, making 2010 the "year of the Bible" !! What a f**king hoot

Again, the Republicans will block anyone that separates church and state, does not have an evangelical agenda, or is liberal enough to apply the law equally.......

Hypocrite Jeff Sessions as recently as 2005, argued that Democratic filibusters of Bush's most conservative judicial nominees -- "some of the best nominees ever submitted" for consideration in the 200-year history of the Senate, he said -- were inconsistent with a process that has been in place "since the founding of the republic."

Again Republicans demonstrating the double standard of American Politics, "It is only wrong if the Democrats do it!"

I hope Sen. Leahy and the rest of the Democrats on the committee repeated sessions' 2005 words often, and noisily!

Don't count on it. As long as a particular someone named Harry Reid is around, Democrats wouldn't know "making waves" if a Tsunami hit em in the face.

RELAX EVERYONE.........at this rate, the GOP will lose another 14 seats in Congress next year and then it won't matter what they say or do.

Once again the party of no tries to block Obama's actions based on stupid reasons.
