Super-Producer Peters Pulls Plug On Tell-All

IT looks like we won't get to read all the salacious details about Barbra Streisand, Peter Guber, Lesley Ann Warren and Michael Jackson after all. Yesterday, uber-producer Jon Peters sent a letter informing Harper Entertainment head Michael Morrison that he wouldn't be writing his memoir, to have been titled "Studio Head."

Peters sold the autobiography this month for $700,000 and, in the proposal, obtained by Page Six, detailed affairs with Streisand and Sharon Stone and slammed ex-partner Guber.

Even as a snitch, Peters is all smoke and mirrors. He needs to go back to cutting hair in snooty salons.

Peters is crass and a bore. He and Guber almost destroyed Columbia Pictures (actually, they did destroy it) and Sony. Each brought the studio to it's lowest point an got about 200 million each for their trouble.

He was a terrible producer and if it wasn't for Streisand promoting him he'd still be in his Studio City salon cutting hair and running numbers.

btw, he certainly looks different from when he was with streisand.

Maybe James Brolin talked to Jon Peters man to man and Jon agreed it wouldn't be gentlemanly to write such a slimy book? Maybe? No? It makes a nice story though.
