Geithner On GOP Socialism Charge: 'Ridiculous'

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner admits private investors are worried about investing in new government-backed commercial mortgage securities and dismisses as "ridiculous" a recent Republican National Committee resolution stating that Democratic policies bordered on socialism.

It is "ridiculous".
Even though it would better serve us all if it wasn't seen that way.

Single Payer Health Care.
Single Payer Education.
Single Payer Banking.

All that would be great for us and the world at large.
So it won't happen.

The oppressors will protect their privileges so they can continue to oppress no matter the circumstance we find ourselves in when it is all over.
This they have always done and will continue to do.

Once for a brief moment, when a new very radical and revolutionary Nation was born in a Declaration of Brotherhood and Inalienable Rights, the Oppressors felt real fear.

They soon corrupted that new Nation with their money.
Corrupted it to the point that it seeks to “make legal” a new form of Oppression.

Socialism?
Government responding to the needs of the people - socialist.
Our own massive infrastructure, built up for generations - socialist.
The Roman aqueducts and sewers - socialist.
That pharaoh’s wise decision to store grain for seven fat years to then be redistributed during thin years - socialist.
It seems some of the things the GOP refers to as "socialism" have been around for a long time, as long as civilization itself. Try substituting the word "civilized" into their charges of socialism and see if there is any notable difference.

Pres Obama is building a house, he is just on the foundation. anyone who has build a house from scratch knows the major set backs, major over hauls etc., but it gets corrected...cannot always get the workers you hire to show up or work with you either...but in the end a great challenge that it was the House is Build..work our Pres it is in all Americans best interest to do so..remember ;your family comes to see you building your house...and there is lots lots of critics is there not?.

simple--find a "good steward" who is not a Rep or Dem, Cons.... but someone who serves first and always serves the needs of all the American People--- bribes deception unjust laws etc.....and a stewardship who handles our purse (taxes) with truth honesty and not wasteful spending---I think we got him...but what a massive mess, crises all over he has....that will not be done in 4 months either....

Like George Clooney said..when every we needed....We Gotten Him---1. Thomas Jefferson, Adam--Constitution...2. Lincolin--Civil War Slavery 3. Roosevelt-Great depression---war 4. Kennedy -Cuban Missile Crises...5 Obama--Worst Economy Crises--Foreign ------

It will take 8 years to accomplish what is the best interest for all America--we need to let Pres Obama accomplish it...to truly see the results..4 years..is just a massive massive clean up all over.

Ask republicans to tell us which "socialism" are you talking about...Jesus was a good socialist , a good steward of the people
warned by Jesus...a good steward is someone who looks out for the safety, best interest of the people..to serve them in their needs, having trust, dignity, equality, righteousness, just laws that benefit all, not just the few, maintains fairness and balance, proportion of needs fulfilled, our tax dollars to be used for our needs, health care, good education, .. pay as you go...

Nothing is free we are all are to earn a living, but capitalism is not to steal it...from those who work hard for theirs..nor to have excess greed, to worship wealth as a god.... to serve those less fortunate.. the poor have their purpose, work also here on earth.......when we learn that, we will know God is a God of order---"the rich are here to save the poor, but in the "end" the poor will save the rich"....

Jesus was angry at the Roman Empire Government. Jesus knew what church and Government were doing behind closed doors...wolves in sheep clothing preaching their own gospels not God's....... instilling continuing fear, fear mongering it held its people in bondage ......fear always to control them...have power over them, lied to them, deceived them, stole from them, bribed the church behind closed doors..all about money to twist truth of God's word... instill more fear..control.....sound for familiar?.

Jesus taught us to treat others the way we want to be treated,and to help the poor(Republicans on average give way more to charity than Dems)...No The Oprah,and George Soros funding Socialist thug groups dont count)....Helping the poor and encouraging them is one thing,but Democrats ,Unions,and the like encourage laziness.Helping one small group of people at the expense of the workers is not a jesus teaching.....Instead of giving sums of money to poor nations(poverty level stays the same),Republicans encourage investment,and letting poor nations use their resources to enrich the people....SO.....If the bible says give a man a fish(he eats for a day),and teach him how to fish(he eats for a lifetime).............That would make jesus a conservative......................THANK YOU

The quote "Give a man a fish; feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish; feed him for a lifetime" in the Bible? Many insist on this without offering book, chapter, and verse. The only tangible thing I have found so far on the source of this quote is that it is an ancient Chinese proverb from the founder of Taoism, Lao Tzu.

If this does appear somewhere in Biblical text, maybe you or someone else can help us.

Republicans always fight for capitalism, do they not?

But capitalism greed became "excessive", has caused the nations woes as a whole..our final burst..economy crises. .Massive excessive greed and taste there of .......continued into corruption----fraud to get richer....brought on also by the creation of credit cards, outrageous greed in interest charges--quick easy money was used as a tool to "fuel our weaken self more into " temptation" to purchase, purchase purchase,.......to selling in Excess, Excess product goods, to get richer quicker.......

good socialism------ was replaced by evil socialism... Excess greed by "doing bad business" deception, fraud ,untrustworthy, stealing like a Maddoff? etc etc.......... put the nation as a whole into massive debt---ending in "''''no cash flow period""""---just to get richer--worship of wealth as their god....we now all have suffered greatly and all have paid for it dearly, caused by the hands of the few, ---lost homes, lots jobs, massive bail outs...which created .....evil socialism at its finest...

Geithner a socialist? That will be news to his greed-is-good capitalist allies. It's weird how the Republicans reckessly throw around the word socialist. From the beginning of Reagan to the end of W. Bush they were the fiercest fighters for socialism for the rich.

However, the word may have been lingering in their brains for another reason. Hitler deceptively used the words 'National Socialist.' Then he declared war on socialists and communists, advocated bigotry and hate crime, became allies with conservative church leaders, declared the fetus to be sacred, preached 'morals' and family-values (and of course homophobia), and decided that social justice and civil liberties were the enemy of homeland security.

If we want truth in advertising, it is overdue for the Republicans to name themselves the National Socialist Party - 4th Reich. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

Pres Obama... signed the Ledbetter equal wage for woman as men...Pres Obama put in protection laws for people with credit cards..Pres Obama gave 11 million children, our children health care coverage..our tax dollars should be spend on us------we earned it and pay our fair share of taxes on what we earn...

Did not see Bush sign the Ledbetter bill, or give us protection from credit cards..

God warns of this over, over John, Luke , Mathew, Ezekiel---warning it will be our ruin here and in the hole world.... money is the root of all evil....that is why it will be hard for a rich man to enter heaven, it will be like a "camel" trying to go through the "eye of a needle".......impossible....
