Mel Gibson Baby CONFIRMED: He Tells Leno He's 'Octo-Mel' (VIDEO)

LOS ANGELES — Mel Gibson and his girlfriend, Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva, are expecting a baby, only six weeks after his wife filed for divorce.

Gibson confirmed that 39-year-old Grigorieva is pregnant on Monday night's airing of NBC's "Tonight" show with Jay Leno.

"This is true, we're having a child," Gibson said. The baby will be his eighth.

Gibson's wife, Robyn, cited irreconcilable differences in her April 13 divorce petition to end their marriage of 28 years.

The 53-year-old Oscar winner has seven children with Robyn, but the couple have been separated for almost three years.

Teased by Leno about having so many children, Gibson said, "I guess I'm Octomel now."

He pretends to be an upstanding catholic as the producer of "The Passion of the Christ" but he lives like any other duplicitous conservative, bedding down with any wh ore he can ! That would be a news worthy development.

Out of curiosity, I searched high and low on the internet to find any snippit of this woman's music, and there is nothing. Not a single 5 second clip. Nada. Only a mention that she did the composition for a movie in 2002 called "Flower Boy" which I also can't find anywhere, and a resume posted by her "agent" Kruglov that states she was in "Beautitian [sic] and the Beast" which she was not.

For the image Mel attempted to portray to the public all these years, it now appears all a facade. Where was the religious convictions of his Catholicism? To stay "legally" married to the mother of his brood while having multiple dalliances? Had this been the 60s and word leaked about Mel's mistress being pregnant, his career would be FOREVER over. The vilest, loudest, most hateful commentator here is VERY likely the man or woman who has behaved far WORSE than Mel Gibson in their personal life -- count on it! In America more than half of married people cheat on their spouses -- it's statistically proven and commonplace. Many Americans are bigots toward one group of people or another...... that's also a fact. Mel Gibson has done or said NOTHING that contradicts behavior found in every strata of American society. Yet to read these boards one would think most posters lead lives as pure as the driven snow. The outrage and indignation expressed here is laughable, not to mention hypocritical. They writers rant and rage and indulge their hatred anonymously because it's a way to vent, to beat up on the guy down on the ground (especially a rich one), and to indulge their violent streak in a pack attack. Seriously, how does Mel Gibson's personal life affect anybody here? Yes, he has a boatload of kids and it is not like he is "leaving them" to be taken care of by the state. I will ask again, how does his personal life affect anybody here? He makes no policies that you have to live by. Don't watch his movies or him on tv if you don't want to. I have asked and have yet to recieve a link where Mel is telling everyone to live like him because he is so perfect. He knows he is not. Like hell he "makes no policies". This is a man who used his considerable fame and fortune to create a snuff film by exploiting his faith and then sold it to evangelicals who ate it up and used it as fodder for THEIR OWN door knocking demands for conversion. He's vocally criticized gays as sinners and then breaks several commandments and deadly sins with a wink of the eye. He is an adulterer who had the audacity to criticize the perceived faults of others. Mel Gibson, the one-time king of Hollywood (often incorrectly labelled as Australian, when in fact he was born in the US) has, in recent years, withdrawn from the silver screen. These days, he spends most of his time behind the camera, unless it's mounted in a police station for the sole purpose of taking mugshots.

He's been in the news lately, althought thankfully this time it wasn't for unleashing a torrent of anti-semitic bile at the police. He's been proudly announcing that his girlfriend, Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva, is pregnant with his eighth child. It's highly likely that this is the kind of 'irreconcilable difference' that his wife Robyn had in mind when she filed for divorce last month.

Now I'm not one to judge (much), but my issue here is with Mel's hypocrisy. In sharing his Aramaic-language slasher movie with the world (and pocketing an extraordinary amount of money in the process) he made a very public statement about his Catholic faith. So I'm curious as to how Mel reconciles his adultery with his religion. Or, for that matter, the fact that he recently settled a lawsuit with the writer of 'Passion of the Christ' who accepted a far lower salary than he would normally claim, based on Mel's substantial understatement of the film's budget. None of these things strike me as being particularly Christian qualities.
