Mel Gibson Throws Stones At OctoMom's Lips (PHOTOS)

After the National Enquirer and TMZ broke the news his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is expecting his eighth child, he went on Leno Monday to confirm it in an odd victory tour that included nothing new to promote and a clips reel of previous appearances. In addition to some backhanded compliments about his estranged wife, he talked up his new girlfriend's respectability, calling her almost 40 and complimenting her musical skills. As Gibson told Leno, "I fell in love with her voice before I ever saw her."

Mel then tried to win over the audience by mocking an easy target - Nadya Suleman, a move pointed out elsewhere.

As he said, "I guess I'm OctoMel now," Gibson pulled his lips out to make fun of the puffy pucker of Nadya Suleman.

Meanwhile, Grigorieva looks more like Suleman than almost anyone else.

It's such a shame. I used to like Mel Gibson in the 80s and 90s, before I got to know the real man I guess. "Never meet your heroes." as the saying goes.

I am usually careful to make distinctions between the artist's work and their life because so many rotten people are so talented, but in Mel's case he's turned me off so bad that I'll never see another movie he's got credits in. Thankfully, he's just not talented enough for me to compromise on this.

Oh, fer good sake.....it's pretty obvious that there's ONE plastic surgeon out there with Angelina's picture on his operating theater wall, who's cranking out those faces like newsprint. Look not only at the faces of the above two , Suleman and Mel's pom-pom -- but look also at the picture of Veronica Lario, 52 years old, estranged wife of Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi, from Huffington's own May 3rd edition. They're all interchangeable.

I do not respect him at all. He has done so many things to insult and hurt others. To present himself as Mr. Christian and come out with a new young girlfriend, pregnant before marriage (isn't he one of those really strict Catholics, they have a name for themselves?) Is he even divorced? I feel bad for his children. He bothers me. Getting sober might help him for starters.

wow, with the lips-joke he has offended his girlfriend without knowing it!!
was a big laugh to see him there, making the joke about octomom, while HIS octomom was sitting at home watching the show, eating icecream and pickled gherkins at the same time.

does he look in faces? he must have seen the plastic surgery of oksana. hey, and he kisses her, how can´t he realize it? you must feel the difference....

he really has to be careful with what he says. how can he make jokes about a person, when he is sitting in a glashouse?

I couldn't care less for the "Octomom" but at least there is no indication that she's an anti-Semitie crackpot religious zealot prone to insane outbursts.

I care about The Octomom. I thought she was getting a lot of money for her story? Honestly I don't know anything about it except this woman had 8 children, and she's in one of those Guinness Book world records. That's gotta be worth a ticket in Barnums circus when they all get older.

Not sure how many commenting here were commenting on the other Mel Gibson story yesterday saying people were hater's for criticizing Mel. I find it really funny that Mel is making fun of the Octomom's lips. THat is not a nice classy thing to do. Has anyone pointed that out?

Soooo disappointed by Mad Mel's Male Menopausal Mid-Life Misbehaviors.
Used to think he was a man of substance. So sad for his wife and children.

In all seriousness, are there bigger hypocrites around than religious zealots of any stripe? Fundamentalism and extremism seem to be pretexts for contempt for people, or a subset of people, but of course the zealot is exempt from his own rules.

In fairness, I find Octo-mom really quite horrifying, in looks & in deed, & I wish I'd never heard of her. So I can't argue with Mel's mockery there, & I'm not so good a person that I'd care to defend her. The weird part is that so many of us thought his new girlfriend looked just like her. I'd venture to guess he thinks so, too, & hence... ooooh, Freudian there, Mel!
