Desmond Hatchett: 29 Year Old With 21 Kids (PHOTOS) (VIDEO)

Desmond Hatchett, a 29 year old who lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, has fathered 20 (maybe 21) children with at least 11 different mothers. The kids, who are between 11 months and 11 years old, require food, clothing, etc. which doesn't come cheap. That's a problem for their minimum-wage earning father.

"I had four kids in the same year. Twice." Hatchett says.

He was called to court last week where he appeared on the docket eleven times to answer for 15 of his 21 children who haven't received child support recently. The mothers of Hatchett's children are supposed to get anywhere from $25 to $309 a month, but the government is only allowed to take up to 50% of his pay check, and when that's split so many times some women only get a $1.98 a month.

We all know that this is so much more than being irrisponsible on his part,. And he needs to get another job or two. But.... what about these 11 mothers? I'm so sure some of them or all of them knew about each other. Some of them may have 1-3 children for him each . Where does their responsibility fall in all this? I'm sure they all knew he makes mimimum wage and can barely take care of him self. Why have even one baby for him let alone two or three? Damn. Ladies we are in control of our bodies. I know birth control is not 100%, but we control weather or not we have babies or not. He couldn't have had them 21 children with out the cooperation of those 11 women. As a woman I feel they are more to blame than him for having all these babies. Accidents happen but not 21 times .

WassiRed1, it's not the women's responsibility to monitor how many children this "man" has. They may not have even known how many in total there were when he got involved with them...He may have lied to them. Who knows? I don't know the reason why they feel the need to bring children into drama with this man, but they and the government cannot and should not regulate his habits. He should, however, be made to pay more than $1.98 to each of the children even if it took 100% of his paycheck to do it. THAT is HIS responsibility!

If you aren't sure that the person you are with is/ will/ can care for a child if the two of you make one while having sex, then you should do your part to make sure that you and he take every possible precaution not to create a child.

These women are just as responsible as he is for creating all these children, and they are even more foolish for doing so when they HAD TO know about at least some of the other children he had!

These people make China's crazy, militant control of its people's reproductive options like a better option that this sort of rampant breeding.

hobnailed, if you are paying 25% of what you're making you got to be in the low six figures salary. If you and your wife a) cannot raise a child on that and b) don't want to take government "charity" in the forms of child tax credits, etc al., then just don't blame him (or the government) for your decision to stave off having a child. There are people who make A LOT LESS money than you who feed, clothe and nurture one or more children on less and do it all with love. Don't blame him for YOUR decision.

Did you watch the video? I think he has a 21 more issues to worry about than if he has been passing STD's around to his Baby's moms. We are paying for the Octo-mom(or at least we Cali taxpayers are and Cali is broke). You will probably never hear about this guy again.
