I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Tom Tancredo, the former Colorado congressman and radical anti-immigration activist, called President Obama's Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor a racist Tuesday, telling MSNBC's Ed Shultz she has said plenty of "things that are racist."

Tancredo failed to elaborate on his claims, but he suggested Sotomayor's nomination should be blocked on account of her "racism." No one else has called her out for before, he said, because she is Latina.

"Unfortunately for her, and fortunately us, there are plenty of things that we've even talked about here already that you keep ignoring," Tancredo said. "I'm telling you she appears to be a racist. She said things that are racist in any other context, that's exactly how we would portray it, and there's no one that would get on the Supreme Court, saying a thing like that, except for a Hispanic woman and you're going to say it doesn't matter? Well, man, where are you coming from? How can you possibly say that?"

Tancredo, who ran for president in 2008 on an anti-immigration platform, is no stranger to racist comments. One of his campaign ads suggested that illegal immigrants are likely to be terrorists. Among the causes he championed while serving four terms in Congress was an effort to deport all illegal immigrants from the country and outlaw any type of immigration to the U.S. -- legal or illegal. Tancredo once sought to deport the family of a Denver high school student who was profiled in the local paper for his good grades after he learned the student was not a legal citizen.

Tom Tancredo and other Republifascists calling Sonia Sotomayor racist? Does this surprise anyone? But remember, when Repubifascists like Tancredo say one thing about their opponents, it actually means the opposite.

For example, if they say water-boarding is not torture, you can be sure it is. If they say "mission accomplished," you know very well it is not. If they told us that Sarah Palin was qualified to be president of the United States, you could bet she was not. See the pattern?

So Tom Tancredo, one of the biggest white supremacists racists in these United States calls Sonia Sotomayor a racist? Let us remember, it's a typical tactic of crooks and criminals to blame everyone else for what they are guilty of. This tactic causes confusion and while the innocent are being investigated, the guilty can slide by. This is also a classic case of psychological projection, which again tells us that Tancredo is the racist, not Sotomayor.

So Tancredo calls Sotomayor racist? Now that we understand how Republifascists like Tancredo operate, then we know that Judge Sotomayor is definitely not a racist.

He's just like Cheney, Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh. Talk the talk, but can't walk the walk.
When it comes to intestinal fortitude, they have none. When it comes to patriotism, these
days they want our country to fail, and never served. Well we're not having it.

They all have the exact same talking points. We played that game for eight years, the game is over.

Yes! All these guys are lilly livered and cowards. And in many ways they're all traitors if you use the Bush Administration's definition of that after 9/11 in which any kind of disagreement with Bush policies was viewed as unAmerican. Well these guys all fit their own Party's 2002 description of that today. It's not about the right to free speech and dissent; it's about wanting your government and country to fail, even be attacked by terrorists, to prove your point because your guy didn't get elected. Although really, would any of these guys been backing McCain today if he had won and were president or would they be complaining he's not conservative enough and a traitor to the Republican Party. These guys are winers and complainers: its what they get paid big money to do and its pretty pathetic.

A black man, from a very poor family, can be elected President of the United States as a Democrat. The southern baptist and James Dobson WILL NOT EVEN ALLOW a Catholic, Mormon or Jew to EVEN RUN FOR PRESIDENT on the Republican ballot. A hispanic female, from a very poor family, can be nonimated as a Supreme Court justice by a Democrat President. The GOP WOULD NOT nominated a justice who WAS NOT A BORN-AGAIN christian baptist...and Tancredo calls Judge Sotomayer racist!

Exactly. So just who is biggoted, sexist, racist and discriminatory in every way. If you took the Christian element out of it -- although by every definition their views are about as unChristan as you can get since Christ was all inclusive and non-discriminatory -- they would look like 1930 Germans wanting to preserve the all white Aryan race.

And even if she were, perhaps a non-white racist is just what the Supreme Court needs to set a balance of sorts.

This is all the GOP has left. Crabby old white men who can't stand the fact that a cross section of American finally getting the representation they deserve. Instead of the whole boat rising with the tide, these guys see politics and power as a zero sum equation. They're scared to death that they'll lose their place in the pantheon of the "haves."

Yes ... However Pat Buchannan on MSNBC about 25 minutes ago and noticed he's toning down calling her an outright racists, to she said some things that could be called racist.

They (Republicans) must have received a new talking points bulletin within past hour ...

Yeah, they're walking it back because they know the backlash from Hispanic voters is going to be HUGE... President Obama knew exactly what he was doing with this nomination. It's too late... the Republiroids have shown their true colors and the Hispanic Americans I know are way too smart to be fooled by a sudden reversal of course.

Walking it back now, are they? That's actually funny in a "too little, too late" sort of way.

For any white male to label any non-white male or any female a racist is unbelievable.

What experience base are these men projecting from? Even by definition, Judge Sotomayor is not a racist..
