Gillette: Genital Shaving Video

In its latest ad campaign, Gillette's reaching out to a new market: aspiring body shavers. AdAge passes along Gillette's "How To Shave Your Groin" YouTube spot. The title pretty much says it all. (We'll spare you the details -- like the need to use "short, light strokes," for example). Check out the full video below:

Spend hundreds over time on replacement blades, or 30 bucks on a high-quality adjustable electric timmer.

Woah woah can we back off with the 'only pedos want their partners shaved' thing? I mean, I don't know about you, but I don't really like hair stuck in my teeth or the back of my tongue, or tickling my nose and making it itch. It's -practical!- There are good hygine reasons too. Hilarious. They forgot the most important tip for shaving anywhere except your face: use a women's razor. Best way to avoid razor burn.

I'm curious why you believe a razor designed to shave legs is better than one designed to shave a face? Seems like the men's razor would be better...s­haves closer on my legs.

Mens' razors shave very close... which is good enough for the face, but also leads to more razor burn, ingrown hairs and nicks. With a woman's razor, you're right the shave is not as close and might require more passes, but you can also shave against the grain more safely (something you should never do with a men's razor) to make up for the closeness.

Personally I wouldn't use a men's razor for body hair- especially places where you're going to make long strokes (like legs) or more... sensitive spots on the body where razor burn and nicks are especially undesirable.

My Brother sent me a short video which HAS to be on Youtube. It was called. " A man's alternative to waxing" or something like that. For all those men out there who think shaving is silly and/or stupid, that women don't care if you groom yourselves­...you're wrong. And as far as razor burn, if you shave on a regular basis, it ceases to be a problem. If you are married and with a woman who doesn't care, more power to you. If, however, you are single...d­on't fool yourselves into thinking it's OK to be less groomed than your partner.
