Gillette: Genital Shaving Video

In its latest ad campaign, Gillette's reaching out to a new market: aspiring body shavers. AdAge passes along Gillette's "How To Shave Your Groin" YouTube spot. The title pretty much says it all. (We'll spare you the details -- like the need to use "short, light strokes," for example). Check out the full video below:

Here's what they won't tell you: Feels great for about a day. Then, as the short hairs, now very, very short, grow back, it itches, creates a rash and hurts like hell. Imagine your five o'clock shadow digging into all those sensitive parts for about a month.

And no, the tree doesn't look taller without the bush. It just looks prepubescent and stupid. Besides, it's what you do with it that counts, not the imagined size.

WITH THE GRAIN. Never shave against the hair's direction, when you go with the grain, the hairs are perfectly trimmed to skin level, without poking the next day.

judging from str8 couples at nudist beaches, they take ideas of shaving, tats, piercings, and increased body comfort and awareness from gays.

and i think there are so many reasons why people shave there, (for instance, women are making men obsess about body grooming they didn't previously, and men now trade tips on shaving their mate and themselves at work and the club) so they keep it simple by saying "the tree looks bigger". marketing is about percieved results than actual results.
