Two things come to mind: First, to steal from anyone, let alone a 12 year old, is shameful but, more than that, to have "three children in tow" tells me this woman has no compunction about teaching her children (if they were hers) that theft is OK. Great role model.

My thoughts, too. Children learn what they live.

I cannot believe the incredibly hurtful statements people are making on this message board and on other forums. This is a big misunderstanding, made worse, as usual, by the sensationalistic media. If you only knew what the woman involved in this unfortunate situation is currently going through in her personal life, you would think twice before posting these asinine comments. To unfairly judge a person you do not know for something you clearly do not comprehend is quite sad. I hope your children don't come across your posts, as "Children learn what they live." Great role models.
